Default Wedding Invite ~ Beauty and the Beast theme

So I get an email from my step daughter today asking me if I could make some Wedding Invites for a Beauty and the Beast theme wedding...

Anyone got any ideas?

The rose under the glass dome is the key to the whole story. I would figure out a way to use that. Good luck!

Do you own a Cricut machine or know someone who does? There is the 'Dreams Come True' cartridge that has some BATB images that can be cut out....link below....

I hope that gives you a bit of inspiration....

The BIG question is, how many invites and how long do you have to do them????

Personally, I think it's a wonderful wedding theme and hope you post your creations to your gallery!

Thanks for the suggestions... I do not own a Cricut and I don't know anyone who does either...
I know I have to make 250 invites but the wedding isn't until Feb 2011 so I think I have time to make it...

I think focussing on the red rose ... the yellow of Beauty's dress.
I'm guessing it's the palace part she's going for ... and not Belle in her simple clothes reading a book!

Another thing you could use is the SU! set 'Once Upon a Time' ... it's got some nice sentiment images that would work.

Is it supposed to be formalish ... or are we going with more Disney/animation/cute?

Gail - to answer your question - I think they want it to be very formal... they are going all out on their wedding!

Very Formal and Beauty and the Beast don't match in my mind. But then, it's not my wedding.
I'd go for the rose.
What are her colours?
Maybe something with gold embossing?

Glad to know it wasn't just me - but maybe that's the feeling they are going for.

I'm thinking versamark for a subtle damask look background and rich golds and reds - and of course a red rose.

I'll be interesting to see how far I'm off the mark!

Oh and probably too bulky for the invites but you have to look at the grunge paper flowers though that might just drive you near insanity to make so many. But maybe for something for wedding party itself....

BTW as Beauty and the Beast is Disney have you looked at the Disney wedding website and their brochure, not to copy but just for inspiration. I think the website is called Disney Fairytale Weddings

I am told the wedding colors are royal blue, light blue, gold and white... thanks so much everyone for your advice.... I appreciate all of it...

BTW - I am not into the Beauty and BEast myself but it isn't my wedding so I will do the best I can on the invites...

THanks again everyone!

oh that sounds pretty - we all have to step away from the cartoon and into the Disney wedding feel! which is opulent. Sounds like a nice color scheme to work with.

I would go for opulence and regal look over literal. Sounds like this was/is the bride's favorite disney film and what she always dreamed of as a girl.

Just remember the more steps there are is that number times the number of invitations plus a few that don't make the cut.

One of the themes for Beauty and the Beast is "Tale as Old as Time" so maybe Vintage yet formal...

I found the perfect stamp for the rose... I can't think of the set name right now but I am really excited about the rose!
