I use crochet cotton for plain colours (many to choose from) instead of bakers
twine, can be any ply you like then as that goes quite thin to twine thickness.

Me too. I like it better than twine because it is thicker and ALOT cheaper!!

Whenever I need white only, I just use white crochet cotton thread.

The reason I want the white twine is so I can color it like some I already have with the same matching markers. Just can't seem to find only white.

Check Hobby Lobby in the yarn section for the crochet thread or in Michael's near the knitting needles and crochet hooks. Let me know how the coloring works. I tried it and probably used the wrong type of markers because it bled on my hands when I tried to use it even though I left it to dry overnight.

You can colour the crochet cotton just the same as the plain twine.
Crochet cotton just soaks up the copics colours, I've done this to
match to buttons many times.

SU sells white baker's twine and it can be colored with markers easily.

Small hardware stores carry white baker's twine. I haven't seen it at the bigger stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. They might carry it. Wouldn't hurt to check if your near by. I have find nice quality white twine at the locally owned dollar stores.

When I was younger I got this brilliant idea to color my crochet thread with watercolor markers. That turned out to be a hot mess, lol. I have great luck with Sharpies & Prisma's.

Hi!
I found a saved video on You Tube and made my own version of action wobbles. It worked, yeah!!
I used one inch circles of card stock. Thin wire to make the coil, tape, and it worked.

I love Sharpies for colouring. Last night I coloured my staples black so they wouldn't show so much on a project.
The pearls colour very nice also.

Action Wobbles stick to a card base and a die cut (or something you want to move). There is a spring in between that will allow the die cut to rock left and right

I used 1" paper circles and thin wire (left unused from the last time there was a wire fad in card making). I wrapped the wire 2 times around a paint pen, taped the wire to the circles and the circles to the card base and a turkey Cricut cut.

Action wobbles are better but this worked

Anyone on here into the Gelee Plate? Have you tried doing it w/o buying it. I tried something with a brayer like on the I tube tutorial, but it didn't work. I hated to spend that amount of money and use it only once or twice. Any thoughts on how to do this?

Actually, adding the glycerin was my grandmother's recipe, Lindsay added the alcohol. . .
Love the mouse card, however, I'm tape runner challenged, so. . . *wink*

If you make the Gelli plate from my recipe read the updated notes, leave out the alcohol because it will cause it to shrink up...that said you can use the alcohol recipe with flavored jello and make your own window clings LOL!

I know I'm not the first but I have been upcycling an broken Christmas tree. In a couple of hours yesterday I made 2 window garlands and a lamppost swag using the old branches and ribbons and floral picks I had collected in the past at at least 70% off! Looking better than some posh homes around here!

Hi Scrabearz,
I have used the silver metallic tape that is used to repair pipes on my cards. I add it to card stock usually after I have dressed it up a bit with alcohol inks, much like doing a polished stone look. I then run it through an embossing folder. And, the tape sticks really .You remove the backing and it is sticky as can be. It can be embossed ahead of time before removing the backing so that you can add it to a card.

I use DMC ( Barboque) crochet cotton thread. I can use alcohol markers on it and have any color I need for my project.
