Wow Momis Mama! I love the idea of embossing the envelope flap - I never thought of that!

I've started mine too. I have about 27 made I think, just not downloaded from the camera yet. And I spent a couple of hours with my 9 year old helping her with her V-day cards for her class. They turned out so cute!

I have a weird question, I'm sure. Who do you send Valentine's Day cards to? I don't have any kids, it's just me and my husband. I've never made them in the past, but I would like to make some this year -- I just don't know who to send them to!

I've made some, but haven't put any in a gallery yet. I have a friend that sends Valentines instead of Christmas cards - same list different holiday. Spreads the joy out a little further.

i make them for my daughters' friends and i have had a couple requests from ladies who buy my cards... i don't get rich at it... but it helps to replenish my consumables.

I send them to everyone. My Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Friends. You can send them to anyone, because they dont have to be mushy. It just lets those special people know that you are thinking about them.

I'm using the ones I made last year and then got too busy to send out. I would upload, but the family is asleep and I don't want to wake the sleeping 2 year old (she didn't nap today and she was cranky)...

Basically, I did a one sheet wonder using the retired Happy Hearts (in pinks and reds). Then I took the paper and ran it through my zyron with the image up (the adhesive goes right on top of the image)...Then I glittered it all....What's Valentine's Day without some glitter (: Added a layer behind it, mounted it on a pixie pink base. I think I might have added some ribbon (I always do)...I'll try to post tomorrow.

Same subject different question - I love the card fronts that everyone has shared but what kind of verse do you put inside that isn't romantic? I make cards for my father to give to his sisters and amy sisters and after 3 years of this I am out of verses. Please help.

I send about 15 each year - mostly to family but some also to other stampers. Usually the sentiment is Happy Valentines Day

I don't want him to feel embarrassed...
Last year, for Valentine's Day, I made Valentines for my son in second grade and daughter in first. I decided to take a Hershey's bar and wrap a stamped and stickered piece of cardstock around it, and then accented it with some fancy fiber. For my daughter, I used pink cardstock and traditional Valentine stamped images. I wanted to do something more masculine for my son because I knew he would be embarrassed by anything too "girly."

What I wound up doing was retrieving some drawings he had done of some of his favorite toys - Lego Bionicles. I scanned the pictures, then printed them on white card stock and cut them into small pieces which I colored with pencils and pasted onto red cardstock; this was wrapped around the Hershey's bars, then finished off with some red ribbon/fiber.

The final effect wasn't "perfect" or sweet, it was kind of rough but very little-boy-ish. My son was embarrassed at first that I was using his drawings to hand out to classmates, but I assured him I thought they were good drawings. He seemed happy with the results, and all the kids loved the candy bars!

I don't have a picture of the decorated bars, but I have the scans of my son's artwork that I used; I'm attaching them to this post. Good luck finding a Valentine project that works for you.

I made this one yesterday with Valentines in mind. Am working on another idea but you'll have to wait until Monday to see it.
