I clean out my cabinets last night and found 50 off white coffee filters that I don't use for my coffee pot anymore. I have a permanent/reusable coffee filter.
I hate to throw them away, so I am looking for ways to use them on my cards. I have thought about using them with my dies but not sure if they will cut all the way through.
What are some other ways I can use the coffee filters?
I use them to catch glitter or embossing powder (instead of a piece of paper) - makes getting the stuff back in the jar a lot easier. Learned this little trick through Jennifer Macguire.
I would go to youtube and search for coffee filter crafts. You'll get a lot of hits, mostly flowers, but there are other things listed in the search.
I make roses with them and I have a spellbinder flower (very much like a mums) set that I cut out multiple layers out at a time. I spritz with a glimmer spray, layer and then fluff them up. They are very pretty and go nicely on a card. I'm actually making a birthday card with them for my sister, tonight when I get off of work. Her birthday is tomorrow, so I have to finish it by morning. I will post the flowers so you can see them.
Here is a video. Mid way through she makes a mum like flower. This is similar to what I do, but I separate and fluff the layers a bit more. Cute though huh.

Awesome, thank you so much. I can't wait to see your flower.

Great thread! I just ditched my old coffee maker because I bought a Keurig. Then I found a barely used package of coffee filters in my pantry. Oh yeah, it was from Sam's club so after I gave a bunch away, I still have about 650!

The ones with the cones, I saw a video on Youtube and the flowers this lady made were GORGEOUS. I wanted to go out and buy a pack of the cone filters. I'll still do it sometime this winter when I'm bored with the other things I do. lol

many sues for coffee filter.
I use them a lot to clean my mirror's and windows and also lining my plant containers to keep soil from falling through.
I also use them as 'liner's for my good china by putting a coffee filter between each plate to keep from chipping.
Thank you for the link to see these wonder roses being made! They're BEAUTIFUL!
Myself, I use my coffee filters for liners between my china plates too!

I highly recommend them for cleaning windows! Generics are pretty cheap and there is no lint at all. I just cleaned the big window by my stamping desk and I swear it cheered up the whole room

Ink them, sprays, stains or ink pad to craft sheet and sprayed with water. Let them dry or heat set if you're impatient like me and die cut. They are strong yet thin, makes great leaves or flowers or whatever your favorite die cut is.
