Tuesday Challenge!!!!
Ok here it is, the Tuesday Challenge! I had a suggestion from another member to use two more colors from the least favorite thread. So, the challenge is cards using marvelous magenta and taken with teal! (I don't even own marvelous magenta yet...one of the last 3 colors I have to get...)
Enjoy!

I actually like magenta. Such a pretty color. And Taken with Teal isn't bad at all either. It's just Mint Melody and Glorious green that I have trouble with.

I'm so hurt. These are two of my favorite colors and I love them combined. I'll do a couple tonight and you'll see. I've even got a two cell cartridge with these colors in it. I love these colors!! Gosh, 11 years ago my whole bedroom was teal and black. I can't believe people hate these colors.

I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who doesn't like these colors...

For those of us who like those colors...now we need to come up with beautiful cards to prove how nice they are.
No pressure  I better get to work!

Can we use other colors with them or only those two colors?

If you need some inspiration, go to Nuttnhoney's gallery and look at the last card she uploaded on Sunday, it's titled Grandson' bday number 2, I believe. I happen to really like these two colors, especially Marvelous Magenta. I think Taken with teal looks great with it after viewing this gorgeous card! Sorry I am technologically challenged or I would post the link here! Taken with Teal also looks great with summer sun and basic black, I made a card like this at a stamp camp with the Smile set and added real balloons, looks bright and cheery. Good luck to everyone, I am anxious to see your creations!

Yes you may use other colors, but you have to use magenta and teal together. I don't have anything against teal, but with magenta...not my fave. This wasn't my idea, a suggestion another member pm'd me with. I think it'll be great to see how *great* ;) these look together!

Okay ~ I've decided I'm using these two colors in a sampler swap I have to complete tonight. I'll point them in your direction if they don't like the colors!!

This color thing is so funny. I don't have a color that I can't stand to use! I have to re-order several colors and I'm having fun using the colors that I have on hand.

I love these colors! Unfortunately I'm at work so I can't join in the fun. I'm looking forward to the posts though!

Beth, your daughters are adorable. I love how you put in the "We Love Lana". Too cute.

These colors are NOT my favorites by any stretch of the imagination. So this was a real challenge.
I used The Back Nine because it was out.
I made one of those jr.legal pad covers for my sweet DH last night using this set. I should have scanned it first but it was late and he took it with him this morning to work.
Here's what my sorry brain came up with:

Oh you guys! Magenta... well it's not my favorite... but mint melody can be really pretty! Try it with Night of navy... maybe even add a little bleach to the night of navy.. some times it bleaches out to match perfect plum and sometimes it bleaches out to match mint melody! hmmmm its a surprise in every bleaching! think about it... it would be perfect for grapes.. they come in green or plum colors!
and teal... ooooh pretty! try it with black or again night of navy! use your imagination! Wish I was at home... work is not as fun as experimenting with colors

I love this card-does this mean if I get three colors or three of anything that I do not like and combine them I will really like it?!?! This IS something to think about.

Okay
Mine isn't approved yet, but just check my gallery, it will be there soon knowing how hard the girls work around here.
The ones I'm doing for the swap are going to be a heavier coverage I think. We'll see how they evolve throughout the night.

I would have never thought to use these together but this is what I came up with. The fibers are left over from other crafts. The background is stamped with taken with teal but the scanner didn't pick it up.

It's worth a try. I just happened to think, "Hmm--I wonder if Mint would go with Teal?" And Magenta did too! It was a happy discovery!

Wow, you all did a great job. I'm liking the color combination a bit more. I may have to go out to my studio and give it a try.
