As a teacher, I would say just getting the gift would be awesome. In addition to teacher themed, summer themes including flowers are a good option too.
I should probably get on that, school ends very soon, ack!!!!!
I never know what to do for teacher gifts. We just had teacher appreciation week, and they made a big deal about that -- so I'm not sure what's expected for end of year anymore. Not that I don't appreciate our teachers very much, it just starts to add up.

I'm just doing altered Art Journals for all 4 teachers. They were a hit last year and we have completely different teachers this year so I'm doing it again.

journals are a great idea!
i am planning on doing a note pad with a felt apple on it.
i have just a few stamp sets that are school themed and am running out of ideas. or maybe just LOOKING for an excuse to buy new ones! lol
LOVE that idea...so clean and stunning! Thanks SO much for the inspiration! As for what I'm going to do...that's a VERY good question. Only 8 more days of school for my DD and I haven't figured it out. I already have the PTI set...but really like the Kim Hughes set from CHF as well. Hmmm...decisions, decisions. If I'm able to find the time, I'd love to do something like 'Mish' did here. Or maybe a name frame...or maybe just an altered journal with an RSVP pen...all depends on how much time the kiddos will give me.
with my work schedule lately I so need to do this FAST,
My daughter is in middle school and there are teachers I would like to do something for myself.. esp her last year English/Lit teacher. I have seen her change because of him and this being her last year at the school I want to give him something even tho he is no long her teacher. He is as I said English/lit but he LOVES music and incorporates it into his classes. I am trying to find a music stamp to use and make a coaster for his desk at school or home.. then putting his initial on it.
those aren't very hard to make really and pretty inexpensive at that.
I made notecard sets for the teachers at Christmas. My fave was one I didn't photography and SUPER easy. I cut cs into quarters and stamped the notebook paper backgrounder from CHF in a light blue waterproof ink (Memories Soft Stone, I think). I stamped an apple on the envelopes. That was IT! I put 10 of them with envelopes in a PTI clear box. The teacher sent one to our family to thank us for our Teacher Appreciation week, and they really are cute!
My girls and I like using "themes" from their school year - for example, 3rd grade has a big unit on the Iditorod, they get to each have a chick that hatches, and they end the year learning about the solar system - 2nd grade is doing dinosaurs right now, and their play was about the rainforest...

That's a fantastic idea. I might borrow that if you don't mind? I think I'm going to use my justrite monogram stamper to customize the notecards. Do you know if the clear boxes are available any place else?

Monogram cards would be lovely! Here are a couple of versions I did post, FYI. Edging the cards with metallic pens looks very elegant.
I have only ever bought the boxes from PTI. Maybe someone else has a source. They are $.60 each, which I was very happy to pay. I used PTI's white cs, too, because it feels so nice and heavy. Thin cs wouldn't feel as nice.
I have done the magnets with the glass flat pieces, stamp under them,,, Altered clipboards always go over well too, this year I am not doing something stamped,, Next year it is mandatory that all the teachers wear lanyards, so I am making them pretty beaded lanyards for next year, and stamping a cute gift box, and card..I dont have pictures of them yet, still in the works. hope that helps you, good luck
I've been on the fence about the PTI Teacher's Apple set. I knew I should have ordered it. Thanks for sharing some inspiration ladies. And I for one, say keep it coming, I'm loving the ideas!

This is has been such a great thread, I've really enjoyed seeing everyone's responses.
After several days of indecisiveness, I finally had a burst of inspiration this morning and decided to get Day at the Beach for teacher cards. I was this close (really close!) to ordering Teacher's Apple, which is super cute - but I just feel like teachers might be really sick of apples. Maybe not, but frankly I'm kind of over giving teachers things with apples. Plus I have a perfectly cute Stampin' Up! apple stamp. Anyway, I thought some of the summer sentiments in the Beach set are perfect for a teacher, who is really looking forward to summer. Plus, we live in Florida so it's very appropriate.
I may still make a set of monogram cards, but I'm thinking of just doing a starbucks card.
