Question Tri-Fold card ideas please

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this. If it is, that's wonderful. If it isn't, please forgive me. A gal on another message board that I am on suggested that I visit this site. I am in awe of how much information is on this site. I have always only posted on the other site. I think I just found another site to add to my "favorite sites to visit".
The reason that I am posting is this: My teenage son is buying his girlfriend a Big Shot for her birthday. Today, I purchased some sets of used Spellbinders for her as part of our (my husband and I) gift to her. The gal that I purchased them from had an amazing idea. She suggested that I make a tri-fold card with magnets (she is even going to include the magnets that she stores them on) to hold the Spellbinders because they do not come in a package. Isn't that the most awesome idea that you have ever heard of? I just love the idea!!!

I have never made a tri-fold card. If you have any photos of tri-fold cards that you have made, I would greatly appreciate you posting them.

Thanks so much!
Gail

You might also look at the Scor-Pal projects page...they have lots of fancy folds listed there. Their Mother's Day Gate Fold card might be what you're looking for. Their forum here in the member company section of SCS has more also, but the list format is easier for me to start with!

I agree with deb. I think you might be looking for a gate fold card for that. There are tutorials under the resource section here at SCS.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I tried to reply to your individual posts but I got some sort of message saying I couldn't reply until I had three forum posts (or something like that). So, I am doing a mass reply to thank all three of you. Your suggestions were all very helpful.
Hugs,
Gail

Default Check Out the Tri Shutter Gallery

Hi Gail. I have made several Tri Shutter cards personalized for the occasion. Here's one of my most popular:
Graduation Tri-Shutter by moonpie11 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

Good news - SCS has a gallery just for Tri Shutters too - here's the link:

Stampin Up! Gallery: Tri-Shutter Card by Kim Reichle - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers

You can also find a great video tutorial in the resource section here as well. Hope this helps.
Have fun and welcome to SplitCoast!

Deb

I really loved the links to the tri fold shutter cards! They are beautiful. I have favorited the graduation one! But I do think the OP didn't really mean the shutter cards. I think what she wants to do is make a gate fold card and have a magnetic piece on the inside to hold nesties, if I read her post right...

Thanks again for the links

Oops, I went back and read again and you are right. I totally misunderstood what she was asking. To the original poster - sorry about that. LOL Kathy -Thanks for the kind comment on my card! Look at the photos of our cats - the color on their legs are opposite. OMG, so cute!

Is your fur baby male or female? Sooo cute! My guy has been sitting in the kitchen window making weird noises at the birdies. He wants to go out there soooooo bad!

All male! His name is Colby. That's funny... he makes weird little noises sometimes also when he looks out the window as well. He Loves to go outside too. We take him out (totally escorted the entire time) on occasion - he just loves it. Oh, to heck with the tables and all - let's talk about kitties! LOL

Sometimes you just have to stray off topic for a few minutes! We leash our baby out for a little when the weather is nice. We rescued him 2-3 years ago. He was 7 months old at the time and he reached his paw out from his cage as DS walked by and grabbed at him as though saying "pick me! pick me!" So we did. The rest is history....
