Default Trash to TREASURE idea's

What other things or ideas are there to use items that are trash that can be turned into treasure's for scraping and card making??

The soda tab for buckle
Soda bottle caps - neat!
I have seen them two ways
#1 stamped inside and filled with a clear product
and #2 flipped over with flat side up and either painted or embossed and the writting on that part!!

So my question is does anyone have any other neat trash idea's that are turned awesome???

I love the recycled Altoid tins, AOL tins, and AOL CDs (in fact they sent me a gorgeous one with a holiday border the other day).

Default great ideas

I never thought of the soda tab? thanks for the great ideas.

I use anything I can get my hands on, you can also stamp on the soda metal and emboss with your stylus, I have taken jelwery boxes and used the saying-THE THINGS THAT DELIGHT THE SOUL ARE MORE PRECIOUS THAN JEWELS, (*painted it stamped images used jewels around the edge then made accordian small albums inside

I have taken a pringle can and made a kaliedescope, taken childrens books hardcover ones and made them into picture albums, also have used small wooden circles you can get them in the craft dept for a buck stamp on them with staz on
Also dominos, triominoes, playing cards(ATC altered trading cards)
Oh old earings I have found at thrift stores taken them apart and made stamped images on them or decopauged.

AOL tins, the cds inside look awesome when you heat them in the microwave for 4 seconds makes them crackle and my kids love doing it! Huby hates the smell! LOL

oh take the gum covers the ones that slide out of the package and decorate them
I am gong brain dead been up since 4 am this morning with my lil one that decided he did not want to go nite nite anymore!
Have fun and post what you make!

All these ideas are wonderful ladies!!!
Thank you all!

I'm sure this will sound stupid but I use the handles from the paper take out bags from Chili's and Outback Steakhouse as embellishments. I make alot of horsey cards and love rustic designed cards and the handles when trimmed to size look great. Also work well with the In the Wild set.

I had to chuckle when I saw this thread. Once I started stamping, I started looking at EVERYTHING in the house differently. Oh - I could use that for . . . . I used to be a pack rat... now it's even worse. I don't want to throw away anything for fear I'll find a use for it tomorrow

well, when we repainted our bedroom, the lamp no longer matched so I changed the color of the base with chalk pads. I sponged the shade and added toile stamps in gold to the base and the shade. It owed me nothing if it didn't turn out. Works in the room now!

My daughter drinks a lot of Ovaltine and I use the cans as scrap cans for my workshops and stamp camps. They can be covered and stamped on or remove the label and they are silver underneath.

The bottom of the 2 lb box of Velveeta is great for SA wheels and can be decorated, too.

You can also use pants hangers for spools of ribbon.

That's all I can think of right now. Great ideas, ladies!

At my upline meeting, they showed how you can take the scraps left over from torn edges, tear it into little pieces, and use it in cello bags instead of shred. I thought that seemed pretty cool.

Default Great Idea!!

When I was looking at my goodie bags the other day, I was thinking they needed something more! That tip will really help since I LOVE to tear! It's such a relaxing process!! =) Great idea!

There's always used dryer sheets to ink up and use as faux mulberry paper. Anybody need about 50 of them?

Fabric scraps for bows, or a mat behind cardstock.

When I think of more, I'll post.

What a great idea! Accessories like mulberry paper usually get left out of my orders so I can have more money for stamps and SU! cardstock. Have to try this one next time I run a load of laundry!
