Today's thrift-store finds!
I scored today at the thrift store! Found a cat PSX stamp for 2.99 (more than I'd ordinarily pay for a single stamp at a thrift store, but it was new and I love PSX stamps).
Also found two sacks of embellishments for a total of $3. Some great stuff there, craft-store quality, not dollar store stuff! Probably $50 worth of product in there.
:-) Thanks for allowing me to share.

Great deal. I never find anything crafty at our local thrift stores. I love the stamp.

fun find!
I found some napa crates at our good will for $1.99 and $2.99 as well! New Spellbinder's storage (cd cases) and one is a great *drawer* for clear sets from Prickley Pear, Our Craft Lounge, etc.
it's the little things that make me grin!

In a heated moment I made a mad purge of my studio in October. My thrift store received an over-abundance of stamping supplies. I'm glad that I could make stampers like you so happy.

The PSX stamp was at the Pewaukee Goodwill. There were a few stamps in a cart of merchandise to be shelved, and I grabbed it.
The other loot was at the Waukesha Salvation Army. I've scored there several times, but I've had to dig. I've had the best luck near the kids' toys. They tend to bag up little items together and put them in Rubbermaid totes. Mostly toys, but I've found craft items too. Their prices are also very good compared to Goodwills around here.

I live right by the Pewaukee Goodwill. Perhaps I need to stop in more (usually I just drop off to donate).

I've found other stamps at this store, and I don't visit this one that often, since I live on the south side of Waukesha. I would think going in the next week or two would be good, since people may be donating their unwanted Christmas items. :-)

I found SU Dreams and Dragons at Savers for 7.99, only one stamp had ever been used. I sometime see quite a few of the older CTMH wood sets there, but I think their employees have gotten wiser as the prices have risen on alot of the stamps.

I figured I'd resurrect this thread instead of starting a new one to show my latest thrift store find! For just $2 I picked up a Making Memories kit that included: 2 packs of letter stickers, 2 sheets of scrapbooking stickers, alphabet rubons, 8 leather corners, 3 leather label holders, 12 metal photo corners, 3 metal quotes about sisters, green eyelets, and vanilla studs!

I did find a few Halloween stamps at a GoodWill in Lacrosse, WI. I don't go in there very often. These were new and from inkadinkadoo. There were lots of duplicates, so they were donated by a store or inkadinkadoo, themeselves. This GoodWill has an area of new stuff.....like a liquidator store has. That was fun!

Last weekend, DH and I went to three different thrift stores and I found NOTHING!!! No stamps, not even bags of embellishments. I was hoping to at least find some bags with buttons or trim or something but nada!:-(

My kids and I often notice that when we go to thrift stores looking for something specific we get disappointed. Bummer though.

This isn't card related, but I just started going to our local Salvation Army store. I used to play tennis so I started buying up all the old wooden raquets I found there. I am going to paint them wild colors and hang them on my wall for "decoration".
I also found a lamp in the shape of a swimsuit and am going to convert it to a corset in the style of sooo many stamps I see here.
I swear one of these days those items will get completed and I can justify all my impulse purchases.

If I go with something specific in mind, I'm ususally disappointed, but if I just go to browse around, I often find things! That said, I rarely find craft supplies. I found some nice Making Memories chipboard once, but that's about it.
