My cousin posted this on her MySpace and thought I'd pass it along:

FYI:
An injured Marine in need of well wishes and cards.

He was deployed to Iraq in Jan. of 2007, shot in the back and cannot
move his legs. Nurses are saying he has not received any card or
letters.

Thanks for posting this.. I make cards to send to troops all the time.. including my brother who is in Iraq for the third time right now, so I would be so happy to include Perez in my mailings.

Sorry it has taken me so long to answer your email, but I had not heard anything until the last couple of days. Apparently, through the source of which I received the original information, Jose Perez is doing well.
They could not share a lot of information, other than he seems to be in higher spirits. He has received quite a bit of mail, packages and support. They said, "It seems like his request was answered and then some." They are sure that he (Jose) is very appreciative.
