Summer By The Sea?
Summer by the sea stamp set, just curious as to wether the person in the canoe looks like a male or female?

I have the set and assumed it was a female. I haven't used that stamp yet though. I will have to go take a better look!

You're not the first to wonder, Doris! I told the last person that I thought it was a woman because the legs and feet looked too delicate to be a man's.

I thought it was a woman but I did see someone refer to the person as a man. I think it looks like a woman,,, I dont think a man would sit on the front of a boat like that and dip his feet in the water,,,,

Female, to me! I agree-that has to be a woman's foot, not a man's!

I vote female. Looks like a bunch of hair at the back of the neck too.... (Not that that's a guarantee! LOL)

Another vote for a woman. That leg/foot looks female to me.

Okay you've got me convinced now. I always thought it was a guy and hadn't really looked that close to the figure until my MIL was here tonight. I thought she could use that image to make a card for her grandsons grad. She said she thought it was a female, I still thought it could be generic. Anyhow the card didn't get made. On to another idea grad hat spinner card, just have to think of a saying ( & make a diecut seeing as how I don't have any grad stamps). Thanks gals!

Oh come on now,...just draw some hair on the legs and put a beer can on the edge of the canoe. ;)

Good One! Scarlett75- I am going to have to that, we all need a good chuckle! I think it will be for my husbands birthday though. When we asked my DH about this image - he said that's a canoe?, he thought it was a person (female) sitting on the can. We told him look a little closer there's a lot of water around that toilet. I think he'll be getting 2 cards, too bad his birthday's such a long ways away!

Never even dawned on me that it might be a man. Totally female as far as I'm concerned. But I do like the idea of a beer can and hair on the legs. That'd be my DH on his canoe trips with the boys.
I must admit I wish they'd put her on a dock instead. I can't imagine not tipping a canoe if I sat like that on it.

Young boy or woman. Could be used for either depending on how you color it.

I always thought female, but my DD thought male. I guess if you grew up in a generation where short hair was not normal, then it could be male. LOL Of course, I'm from the 60's and hippies [not me] so only half the population had long hair!

Never would have thought it was a male! The whole attitude of the figure screams female to me. What man would sit like that? LOL!!!
