I can't think of the SU name for pop dots, but the foamy things with sticky on both sides to raise images up is what I am talking about. I'm at MIL's. In a rush, I tried to locate my pop dots (I know I have some somewhere---my dork sisters will attest to the news that I lose EVERYTHING), but failed. Any thoughts on something I could use to raise an image? Hmmm, my dd already has MIL's hot glue gun out. I wonder if I could make little dots out of that & then adhesive them onto my card? Not so concerned about acid free for cards. What do you think?
do you have any leftover pieces of rubber/foam from trimming stamps? You can peel the foam off and use a small piece of that. Or maybe a small piece of fun foam or whatever it's called.
Thanks! MIL doesn't stamp, and really sees it as a waste of time...sigh. Anyway, no stamping supplies here but what I brought, BUT there are sewing/fabric craft supplies. So....no chipboard (though that would be ideal! I can still look through the cabinets to see if there's something close). No fun foam (we have so much at home that I may do that next time I need dots---um, DIMENSIONALS! thanks VJ!). I don't have any extra foam....YET! I forgot that I had some sets with me to trim! THAT would work well! Vikki, I think your idea is priceless. What else can I take that she won't even notice? LOL!!!
Hmmmm, you know, there may be some foam of sorts from upholstery sewing. I'll dig through that cabinet after MIL is asleep. Muahahahahahaha!!!!!!
I use foam mounting tape. You can usually get it at any supermarket or Walmart, Target, etc. I have found it at the dollar store also. You can get it in a roll or already cut up squares. I usually get the squares, and then I cut them into smaller squares. HTH
cardboard squares, tripple folded pieces of cardstock, those rubber rings from home canning, (My MIL would have those) Double stick foam tape used for fixing foam to door jams, bits of popsicle sticks.....

Love all these ideas! They helped me a lot! MIL does have rubber rings, I'm sure for canning, but wouldn't dare try to take one & use for stamping. Long story, but she sees our financial issues as partly due to my stamping, and my messy house is due to my stamping, so I am really pushing it to even be stamping here. If she weren't in the kitchen so much I might have looked for some of those rings! LOL! Vikki, there is a cork coaster right on this desk & I did look at it! I think she'd notice, though.
My FIL passed away in Feb. He has a tool area in the garage that is insane. LOTS of stuff & LOTS of drawers with stuff in them. Most of it's old stuff that dh wants to get rid of (when his mom isn't looking!). There must be 100 different little drawers & I decided not to stand there & look through each one. I ended up trimming a new set of stamps using some Creative Memory scissors since I didn't have any rubber scissors here. CM makes great products for scrapbooking but those are NOT designed for cutting rubber! Anyway, I knew I would used the foam that one of you suggested. Then as I looked at the trimmed pieces, I thought, "Hey, why not use little bits of rubber, as well!" So, half the cards have the foam from the leftover trimmed pieces & half have the rubber!
Didn't finish the card, but got the pop-up done. Now I'm off to bed.
oh ewww didn't the chaulk stink? when they did the windows for me it smelled awedul! LOL
Stinky card Lori?
Love ya dearly, glad ya got some stamping time in while there. That had to be hard.

No, I don't remember an odor and I am sensitive to things like that!
I do remember when we had new windows installed, that the caulk smelled like vinegar!
