Default SU Wood Blocks question

I was just wondering if anyone knew what type of wood the blocks are made of?? If not could someone share the DS phone number with me so I can call and ask???

I thought I read somewhere that they're hardwood maple. From the feel and weight, that'd be my guess.

Could be. I wouldn't know a mapel from an oak from a pine. I would know balsa(sp) wood though. Wood is wood and even though you may cut a few trees to make our blocks, they are still more environmentally safe than acrylic.

Julie you are correct....I called just to sure -
I have some extra blocks that I am going to make bird toys with - for those who wondered why I asked!!
Hardwood Maple ~ I would have thought pine since they have to make so many and it is cheaper - goes to show that SU does use quality products huh!!!!
