Default SU vs. Joanns Rub-ons?

I recently tired the SU rub-ons and fell in love. I have a few different name brand rub-ons but was too scared to use them. I have had so much fun using the rub-ons on many different objects than cards. So I tried my Joanns rub-ons and they were nearly impossible to use. They wouldn't rub off, they ripped, and if I did get them off the plastic then they most of the time didn't stick. I know there is a protective sheet behind the rub-on, so I know I was not just rubbing it on to that.
Anyone else had similar experiences with the Joann rub-ons?

Glad to hear the SU ones are good. I'd love to try them before buying. I have had all different results with the rub-ons I've bought at stores. Some come off if you breath to hard, and others don't come off no matter what you do!!
