I would like to know that too - I had purchased a pack of that color, but it's still sitting unopened due to lack of inspiration. It's a beautiful color!
I love this site for color combinations. You can go to the gallery and enter river rock in the search on the left side of screen. Most gallery pictures state a color challenge keyword for that combination also, to do a search for that combo also. You can also
do a search in the Tuesdays color challenge on the right side of home page, and do a search once you bring up that challenge page. However, the search is not as true
or as easy as from the gallery.

I still have a pack of river rock cardstock and ribbon to use too! Here is something I downloaded a long time ago.. hope it helps everyone with some color combos
I just made one using Ginger Blossom DSP with ruby red and cameo coral. I have not taken a picture yet but will try to remember to add alink here when I do.
River Rock is a favorite...Soft Suede is gorgeous as a neutral, too. I like RR with Kraft and Very Vanilla to stamp the sentiment on. Easy and simply elegant!

I will have to go through my gallery and remember to post here but I recall combining River Rock with some of the other InColors for a great look: River Rock, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou.

Hi! I use River Rock all the time for just about any colour I like - it works great as a bridge between colours, it acts much like a neutral .....but I also like it with the red family of colours peachy , burgandy, purple tones, etc - and of course the blue family....just every colour like I said!
I really like to use it for distressing my edges - so glad SU! brought it back, so I can re-introduce it with projects for my workshops.
Navy Blue with River Rock---and a small bit of Only Orange paper or ribbon looks great!
Reds (Riding Hood Red is lovely with it!)
Greens (Always Artichoke or Hunter Green----great for mens cards)

Now that River Rock is one of the SU Core Colors, in the Neutral Collection, you'll be seeing a lot more of it, I'm sure. I find it to be a "cameleon" (sp?!) color - it kind of changes depending on which colors you put it with - I'm excited to use mine again!!

River Rock is a chameleon color. It'll go with just about anything. Ironically, my living rooms walls are painted in the same color. We chose the wall color before I ever used or had RR, even though it came out about the same time. Our furniture is multi-colored. We have a very regal carved chair that is a dark walnut color. It's upholstered with a deep red fabric embroidered with gold, green, and black. It goes beautifully with the wall. We also have my grandmother's old dark (yet bright) blue Lazyboy chair. Ironically, it goes really well with both the wall and the red chair (I never would have put the two together either). Our couch and armchair are both dark cherry leather. They go beautifully with the wall. Our fireplace is a medium dark tan brick that's slightly reddish...it goes great with the wall color. Our TV is black and really pops on the RR wall. Heck, even the white ceiling goes well with the wall! It's amazing what matches/coordinates with this color.
I actually used River Rock on my wedding invites as well. They were cream, muted gold, crimson (think SU Riding Hood Red, which I would have used but it didn't exist at the time), and River Rock. Since I only used RR to stamp over the invite info (printed in black on cream paper and stamped off once first), I also used olive on the cards (they were pocket fold and I used olive sealing wax to hold the ribbon on that closed them).
I've hoarded the bits of RR I've had left over from when it was an In Color as it goes with so much. It's a great color! And, I say that as someone that saw the paper and thought it was ugly at first. Ironic considering my walls. Even more ironic since my husband picked out our wall colors and my first take on the living room color was that it looked like bird poop. BTW, it changes color depending on the light - it's lighter in the day than at night and more yellow in the day and more green at night.

River Rock was my most hoarded color----someone said it best on a thread recently, "Is this person River Rock-worthy?" I'm so glad SU brought it back. I can't wait to add to my stash. So Saffron, Very Vanilla, and Old Olive are gorgeous with it.
