I had a GREAT workshop and got them FOR FREE!!! Lucky me! I would definately pay for them though, they are great, and of course, everything matches! I use them either to color in, omit, multi color a stamped image, and to 'watercolor' using a blender pen. It IS kind of steep, but worth it...maybe try going one color family at a time if you can't swing the whole thing a once...

I been stamping for a little over 4 years now and I just recently broke down and purchased the whole set of markers. I alwasy thought that the big "kid" type pack of markers that I bought worked find and I could usually come pretty close to matching the colors. OOOO Man, I can't believe I waited that long to buy these markers they are the best. I think I've used them on almost every card since I got them.

I love these markers. It's been 4+ years since I started stamping and I can't believe I didn't get them until recently. I always thought that the big pack of markers I picked up at Michael's was good and I could come pretty close to matching colors - no way. I use these all the time now.

I am hosting a workshop tomorrow, part of my order will be the markers. I can't wait to get them.

I have been waiting to get my 10% discount from my demo that she gives to her customers for their birthdays. With my merchandise credit for having the party and my birthday discount I can finally justify buying them.

Maybe I'm opening myself real wide here, but I would like to join a Marker Club if anyone has one to offer. I do have the Soft Subtles set but would like to get the rest of the color families.

Oh, this isn't good. Now I'm seriously thinking of getting them. I only have one, the Real Red, and my 5 yr old DS loves it, so I'd have to hide them. I need to stay away from this site: too many things seem indispensible!

get them! you so won't regret it! i honestly think they are the best value in the catalog because you can use them for everything. if i were stretched for cash, i'd hold off on new stamps (blasphemy, i know!) and accessories so i could afford them.

think of it this way, aside from the ink pads, what other product could you use on virtually every project for years and never tire of? and if you don't have all the ink colors the markers are a great way to supplement!

i know it is a chunk of cash, but think of them as an investment. join a marker club, buy them one color family at a time or give up eating for the month--but get the markers!

Um, Nary Jane, you're not helping! Actually, I have no trouble rationalizing things I want, but you're making some great points. I'll think about it a while and finally just do it.

If you join a marker club, it's an all or nothing kinda thing. Perhaps you could try to sell your extra ones to someone else.

just be sure to come back and tell us how they are even more fabulous than we told you they would be!

honestly though, i went through it the same way. i used them at a class and thought they were neat but didn't even consider buying them. a few weeks later, i went to a friend's house and played with them some more. i decided i'd like to have them but wasn't sure about the cost so i decided to think on it. my mom and i were making cards one night and stumbled into a situation where the markers would have been awesome. that pretty much pushed us to take the plunge. since then, they have become a standard item and we use them on virtually everything we do.

I have them, and yes, I love them!!!! I never thought I would, you know, I mean, markers? I figured for coloring stuff in, maybe, and for writing, maybe, but how good could they be -- until I got them, and yes, baby, they are all that and a bag of chips!

It is all about convenience for me -- having a small box with a handle to grab when I am in a mood for doing stuff and not wanting to drag all my ink pads out -- I grab my basic black and my markers and I am good to go at the kitchen table. I have options of coloring in, or if I want to color the stamp. Something about coloring a stamp, especially 2 or more colors , is relaxing.

I have the marker set and love it, got it as a birthday present from my kids 6 years ago. I don't use them as much as some people do but wouldn't be without them. The selling pitch my demo gave that convienced me to want them was that if they ever dried out you could take the fat nib out and refill them or soak the nib in reinker. The good news is I don't know if this works because they have never dried out!
