Default SU heat tool better?

I'm placing an order today and I'm thinking about getting the SU heat tool. Is it better than the others? Mine is a Darice (bought with a coupon, of course!) and I really would rather not get a new one if I don't need one.

What do you think??

I have a non-SU heat tool from way back. Still works like a charm so there is no need to replace. However, if you plan to demo heat setting/heat embossing at a workshop, I do believe you have to use a SU! heat gun, per the agreement you signed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't there a clause somewhere that you can't demo non-SU! products?

My heat tool is a Marvy Uchida and I just love it. I too am curious if you have to demo only SU-products. I just gave my order for my demonstrator kit to my demo today (yippee!!) so I need to start learning the rules. I love my heat tool and would hate to have to replace a perfectly good one.

You don't have to get rid of your other heat gun, just use it at home. Think of it this way -- it'll last longer since you won't be using it for all your embossing!

Hi just recently got the SU heat gun. I have to admit that I demoed with my Marvy heatgun for the least two years. I was waiting for it to die before buying a SU one. It never did break and I got tired waiting.
My Marvy gun got hotter then the SU one and I always had to be careful when aging ribbon (by heating it) or even not heating my embossing powder too long. You won't have the problem with the SU heat gun. It's perfect temperature!!!!
