I bought two and like them so much that I placed a second order. They hold all of my markers and odds and ends of pens, take up very little room on my work surface and are easy to move around.

They can hold ink pads too but the shelves are slightly tilted back at an angle so the pads would not be flat. I've put a couple of the pads I use most often on the tops (flat) of my units which makes them easy to reach.
