Taller can? LOL, not elegant, but it worked for me. If it still tips try putting a rock in the bottom.

Yep, I was going to suggest a weight in the bottom. A bunch of those flower-arranging pebbles, maybe?

my tall ones are in a ceramic cup (no handle) its heavier then the brushes... my short color duster ones are in a low basket intended to hold silver wear... ( I use the silver wear basket itself to hold bread in my kitchen) and took the organizer insert baskets to my play room as i keep the silver wear in a drawer...

I have lots of small drawers that mount on the wall in front of my work space. I place things like stipple brushes and fantastic brushes in one and used ones on another, since I use 1 each per color group.

Many years ago Anchor Hocking was selling glass pieces in the grocery stores and I bought a medium sized pitcher meant for salad dressing or some such thing. It is heavy so I can keep all of my brushes in that. Also I never wash my brushes, I have one for each color group. For something pretty, try your local Good Will or Salvation Army.

Yep, I just store mine in a plastic drawer, making sure that it is plenty long enough, and leave space at the bristol end when I put them away.

Smile stipple brush storage

I kept the silverware basket from my old dishwasher and use it to store many items on my desk. I keep my stipple brushes, Glue Glider, heat gun, paint brushes, aqua painters, glue pens, etc. all nice and neat and contained. Didn't cost me anything and those items are handy when I need them.
