Default Stores in the Downtown Boston Area?

I will be in the area of Copley Place for the Boston Marathon. I will have some extra time. Are there any LSS in the general area? I will have the baby with me so I don't want to go out too far.

There is a store in Faneuil Hall called Stamp of Approval. It's quite small but has some great stamps. You would take the Green Line to the Government Center T stop and walk from there. Not too far from Copley Square area but you might not want to walk it with the baby.

There's also a Paper Source on Boylston Street that IS within walking distance from Copley. They have tons of paper and embellishments and a moderate selection of stamps. You can get there by walking down Boylston Street towards the Boston Public Gardens. The store is near the corner of Boylston and Arlington Street, on the right side of the street. The cross streets are in alphabetical order so you can follow along from where you start which will be Dartmouth Street. (Clarendon and Berkeley are the other cross streets)

Have a great time in Boston.

ThANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! I am not a runner, but I do support my husband. But I will have from early morning until around 3:00 to kill time. So this is a great help!!

Unfortunately, since rents are so high within the city, most of your better LSSs are outside - kind of way outside - of Boston. Paper Source is a great store. BUT, make sure you are on the correct side of the street before you go out looking for it - I haven't been to PS on Boylston, but I have been to the Marathon - and you cannot get across the street from Dartmouth to Mass Ave.

not to worry, Paper Source is in the opposite direction of Mass Ave, past the finish line for the race. Shouldn't be a problem getting across.
