Default Stamping on the walls in your girls room

Okay, my search feature on this site has not worked in days. I tried to see if there were pictures in the gallery of kids room but could not find any. I need to paint my youngest daughters room and I thought I would stamp something as well. I thought butterflies because I love them!! Does anyone have pictures or suggestions? I don't want a whole lot but something noticeable and cute! I am unsure of the color yet. I have a wide open slate.

I've been thinking of doing this too. I think I'm just going to use a "flourish" stamp and just stamp it all over one wall - something generic that she won't grow out of too soon! I'm going to use a slightly darker shade of the wall color - kind of tone-on-tone. I believe you can just use acrylic paint to do it.
Good luck!

I stamped on my daughter's wall. I made a painted fence and stenciled some leaves, then I stamped one of the blossoms from DD Hydrangea (retired).

My tip, use a solid image stamp and a foam style brush (like 10/$1). I used acrylic paint, I put it on a pallette (pie tin) then used the foam brush to lightly apply the paint to the rubber. Then apply gentle pressure but not too much bc the paint will squish away from the rubber. So just press gently and pull off. You may want to practice on a painted piece of chipboard (inside of a cereal box). If you do mess up, you can use a damp rag to remove it if you do so right away.

Remember to clean your stamps with warm water and an old tooth brush as soon as you are done and the acrylic will come right off. If you let it set overnight, though, it's really difficult to get the paint out of any cracks or around the rubber. (***ask me how I know***)

The result was fabulous! I think you can also use craft (pigment) ink but I didn't have any at the time.

yup! pretty much what she ^ said.

i did a few different flowers all over one wall in a random pattern and then i did it on the roll blind of the window on that wall too.

i painted the wall white and did purple flowers and her curtains and topper were purple too.

it looked really great. she is now 14 and i will have to paint over it as she is ready to move on. it has been the flowers for about 4-5 years. i figure i got enough 'use' of the design.

good luck!
