Default stamping on towels-how do I set it?

I posted on Stamping 101 but not really getting any replies to my pending question. Maybe it was the wrong place to post. My demo doesn't know the answer so...
I want to stamp on fabric--kitchent towels--with my new craft ink spots. I don't know the for sure way to set it so that when I give them as gifts they don't run when washed. I prewashed them, now ready to stamp...
Any help from experienced stampers would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!

We did this at a Stamp Camp, you have to wash the towels first without any softeners-washer/dryer. They were ironed, then we just stamped away, threw them back in the dryer to "set" and they came out great! No probs with washing later. Hope this helps! Have fun, it a great gift!
