Default Stamping into airdry clay?

I've ordered 3 different airdry clay samples to try stamping into - was thinking of small wall plaques or perhaps coasters as Christmas gifts. Anyone got ideas on inks to use for these? I suppose Stazon but I only have black and brown and don't want to buy more colors right now. Would I need to seal them? The only things I've used air dry clay (Delight brand) for previously were small card embellishments made with Kraft Lady moulds so they didn't need sealant, but things like coasters probably would. The ones I've ordered are proper clay, but an airdry variety, not like Delight, which is a paper clay.
Help ..........!!!!
Thanks.

I've only used the paper clay to stamp directly into. I used acrylic paint to color it (kneeded it in), and stamped into it with craft ink, it's the only kind I have. It came with a website that had instructions on it about how to "cure" it, either by air drying it or the time/temp to bake it in the oven. Does your package have a website on it? Sorry I can't help more!!! Good luck, and let us know what you find that works!

Hi. I was on a cruise a couple of years ago. One of the daily activities was crafting. This was a make 'n take demonstrated by Sherill Kahn (sp?) She has several books available and does various stamping projects with her own stamps as well as fabric art. She also has some connections with various product lines.

Anyway, one of the projects we did was stamping on airdry clay to make pins. We stamped on black clay with Copper Colorbox MicaMagic. She told us we could use white clay and paint it after it dried. We also stamped in black on very thin copper sheets and mounted them on a thin black foam sheet to make pins.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips and info. Much appreciated. I'll post here when I've tried the various clays and see what the results are like.
