Question Stamping Frequency?

Just out of curiousity, please share with us how often you stamp/make a card. *AND* please include how often you have to go to a job, just to make this a little more fair (as in, I'd expect most people who stay/work at home to be able to stamp a little more often than someone who works full time outside of the house as you can sneak in a little stamping here and a little stamping there in between your other duties ).

I'll start:

I would love to make several cards every night, but I seem to be on a pace of making approximately 2-4 per week. I work full time (8am - 5pm) and have horses that require anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hr of chores both morning and night every day, so after that and supper there never seems to be much time left!
  • cards per week: 2-4
  • job: 40 hrs per week
Thanks for sharing!

(I tried to get the poll option to work but it's not cooperating. Sorry!)

I *thought* that having a year's maternity leave (ending at the end of December), I would be able to get some stamping done. After having experienced colic, followed by summer vacation (the big kid is in grade one), followed by teething and trying to complete my continuing education credits (required to keep my license to trade stocks and bonds), I think I get 2-3 cards done in a good week (usually 1-2).

Perhaps when I go back to my 40-hour a week job I'll be able to make room for stamping - or maybe when the baby is 18, LOL!

I work full time 9-5, plus add on an hour's travel either way, plus make the dinner, walk the dog, etc ... there's not much time left weekdays for card making. Though I've had my head down this past few weeks preparing for a craft sale, so all my spare time has been card making (...not a good idea, as it's become a chore!!!)
Normally I manage about 4-6 cards a week, usually Sunday mornings and maybe an evening a week.

I work 40+ hrs, commute 25 min each way, and TRY to go to the gym (hah!). I find that i'm really only motivated to stamp when i have a deadline (class or swap). I'm a major procrastinator! I want to get back into scrapping more than card making, but as a demo, it seems other stuff gets priority. Maybe when my club is over, I'll get back into the challenges here and more scrapping.

I work full time and do the normal cleaning and cooking. I don't have any kids or pets though, so just gotta worry about my hubby. I only sleep about 7 hrs each night, so I try to craft a little bit each night. I find its easier for me to color while watching my favorite shows. Also, I try to plan things out so when I go to actually make something, I already know what I want to make. Try writing down ideas and go to them when you do have time to create.

I am a stay at home wife/mom. So I do stamp most every day.
I'd say 1-2 hours 5 days a week.

especially now that I'm trying to get a ton of Christmas cards done.

I work two part time jobs, one is about 20-25 hours a week and the other is as a nanny which varies depending on their mom's work and travel schedule but it is at least 25 hours a week and often involves one or two overnights. I do homework and run them to after school activities. I teach a community sign language class once a week. I do something in my craft room almost every day. Since I started a blog I try to make a card everyday, it is my sanity. Often though I stamp out several images and will have a couple of cards "in progress" all the time. That way when I am short on time I can
complete a project rather than starting from scratch every night. I am married but we do not have children of our own yet.

I work 38 hours a week outside of my home. I also have a part time job 15 hrs a week. I do all the housework. I usually can make 4-6 cards a week. However, I have been known to do what I call power stamping 10-12 stamps on the weekend.

I work full-time (8-5) with a 1 hour total commute;
2nd job: clean houses on the weekend (4 hours Saturday / 4 hours Sunday);
2 girls, one 4 yrs and 5 yrs with homework every night;
all the chores except laundry and dinner;
I am running / training for 1/2 marathon season right now (next on in Feb);

I try to stamp every night, but usually wind up reading or surfing here. This weekend is my birthday and I am hoping to get some amazing stamping time.

Another full time worker here...My son or hubby cook...until hubby started traveling about 7 weeks ago..now son cooks or we just eat left overs or order out...I rarely ever cook anymore...I have a maid...so I get home, check the mail..go to my craft room..plus spend a good lot of time there on weekends...so I stamp like all the time. Working on Xmas cards for the troops right now.
Blessings.

Hmmm...I'm not sure which one to pick. I USED to stamp a few times/daily, but since breaking my foot in June (and now with a broken shoulder) I only stamp on "good days" where I have time and I'm not sore. So right now it varies, but I try to stamp daily. Clear as mud?

Now ask the other question - how often do I want to stamp? 24/7!!!!!! But TIME is a four-letter word!

Hi! I work a full-time job as a School Social Worker. I try to stamp on the weekends and once during the week making at least 1 card each time. In the summer I try to stock up on cards since I have the summers off.

Every day I am either working/playing at my craft desk making cards or trying a new technique or organizing my *stuff*...or shopping online and surfing here or the blogs....

I have custody of 2 grandchildren and they are in school all day, otherwise hubby and i are retired.....so this is my *sanity* after already raising our 4 kids and working 37 years to retire on a lake...HA...GOD had another plan for us...

Unfortunately, not nearly enough. I work full time, have 3 teenagers and am going to school myself, so it leaves me very little time and very little motivation. I will be done school next month and I hope this will give me a little more time to stamp.

I run the house and my husband and my 3 kids (14, 12 & 7)...and every other week I babysit my 3-year old niece 9 hours each Mon-Tues-Wed. I find time to stamp 3-4 times a week. I need it for my sanity!

I don't know how you girls who work 40 hours plus all that are juggling it all!! I give you a lot of credit for that! Some days though I think it would be easier to NOT be here when the kids get home from school...LOL

It really depends for me! I have a full time job as an athletic trainer so my hours really vary and are all over the place!!! I work a lot of nights and weekends so I can't always stamp...and it goes in phases. I've been working on Christmas cards so for a few weeks it was about 4 cards most nights of the week. On average I'd say 2-4 per week (or I at least start that many or make parts of them if I don't finish). And in the summer and when I'm really busy with work...then none. It's easy for me I guess, I'm single and only have a little doggie, no kiddies to take care of...and if I stamp and don't clean the house no one knows, haha. I've been making more since I found this site and all the great inspiration....but my wallet is empty now and I spend most of my time surfing SCS instead of stamping, haha.

I'm on a year mat leave. I stamp all the time. I have one kid in kindergarten, one in pre-k, two at home and every free second I get, I grab a stamp, or scrap, or both.

I'm a full time college student,wife, and mother of one 4 1/2 year old boy and I stamp about 4-5 days a week. I usually get interrupted quite often so I don't always get a lot accomplished at one time. My one day during the week I have off school I"m always fighting the demons to sit in my craft room and get busy or crack open the books and study for upcoming tests. I usually study and then take a break and go work on a card.

Never enough time to stamp and be creative. I need to go away for a weekend sometime and do nothing but craft my little heart out with some friends.

I work 5 days a week as a teacher. I don't have any children yet, so I do get to stamp about 5 days a week. Sometimes more... sometimes less. It all depends on how many papers I have to grade at night. Like right now... I have a TON of grading to do.. but I'm a GREAT procrastinator!

I work about 70 hours a week, but rarely (read: never) miss logging in to this site. I stamp at least 3 nights a week and a few hours on the weekend. I am blessed to have my art table in our sun room, so it's my favorite place in the house. I still spend more time planning/web surfing, etc. than actually making cards, but I'm making good progress on my Christmas cards. Trying not to feel guilty about that and just enjoy wahtever aspect of stamping i'm involved in at any given moment. Inspiring to read about so many of you who juggle significant responsibilities to children, grandchildren, 2 jobs etc.

I stay at home with my 3 girls, but one is in 2nd grade all day, the middle girl is in morning kindergarten, and my 3 year old is home all day with me. I also babysit my neighbor's 7 month old 2 days a week. I find very little time to stamp/scrap during the day and by 8pm when everyone is in bed I don't have enough mental energy to be creative.

I think, though, that it isn't I can't make time, it's more a matter of just not wanting to. I love hanging out with my kids and I love "playing house" so I find that I'm usually cleaning, cooking, baking, doing Sunday School stuff (I'm in charge of our church's children's ministry), and hanging with my girls. Stamping and scrapping have taken a backseat for now. When all 3 are in school all day 3 years from now, I'm sure I'll craft but for now I just want to savor every minute they are home with me!

Some of these posts make me tired just by reading them! I teach high school, so am usually home by 4 or 4:30 so can get a bit of work done before or after dinner, then I usually spend one morning of the weekend stamping. The only thing is I work in the kitchen, so I try to put my stuff up every 2-3 days, and then don't have the motivation to drag it all back out again. Then I come on the computer and all of sudden 2 hours of my life are gone!

I'm a full-time RN (40 plus hours/wk) and generally make 4 to 6 cards per week...usually for the daily challenges. Since I work second shift, I like early posts so that I can sometimes start a card to 'wind down' after I get home at 11 PM. I often make a card first thing in the morning before getting chores/errands started.

I work part time (between 24 and 36 hours) every week and varying schedules...no kids...4 furbabies though ... they keep me busy. But I stamp every day or nearly every day. Of course, if I have something else to do then I don't...

I mainly stamp at night. Late, late, late. I'm a night owl so it works for me.

I work full-time as well. My stamping seems to be seasonal. Living in Alaska means that the summers are spent enjoying the outdoors. My stamping also depends on my creative motivation. Lately I have been motivated by Thanksgiving cards so I'm stamping every night!! :0

I work about 45 hours a week, have an hour roundtrip commute, have three teenagers and do most of the driving to afterschool activities and sports so most week days there is very little stamping. I try to make 3-4 cards per week or a couple of scrapbook layouts every weekend. I do more in the summer because I work in a school so summer is our down-time. I wish I had more time to stamp!

I am a nurse in an Alzheimers facility and a part time marketing director for the same facility. I work four days a week. I make one card every day either before or after work. I need to have the relaxed feeling I get when I make cards. So I actually plan a small amout of time everyday just to relax. It is my therapy!

It's hard to say...during craft fair season I stamp every day. During some weeks, I never actually stamp (though I still surf!).

Job? I'm a substitute teacher so some weeks I work every day, and other weeks it's just 2-3 times/week...

Wow!! Amazing how some of you gals work more than a 40 hour week, have kids and hubby to take care of and still find time to stamp!! I have actually been wondering about time management for stamping/blogging. I see not all are SAHM's and you still find time to stamp! Yeah for you!!
I have a different work schedule. I am away for three months working no less than 84 hours a week (12 hour days/7 days a week) but I have someone cleaning my room, cooking my food and I only have one flight of stairs to work. (still guessing? I work on a ship and no, it's not a cruise ship). So for three months I do no stamping and for the three months home, I can stamp my heart out. I did have some stamping stuff this time at work, but really couldn't find the time to stamp.
No kids (obviously by the job), 2 dogs (have house sitter) and one very supportive boyfriend who also works an odd schedule.
I can't really say I make a lot of cards, I do try to do the daily challenges though. I try to get at least one more card done for the day but amazingly, the days fly by (I know all of you will jobs, kids, commutes are rolling your eyes-heehee). I think what it boils down to is I don't have great time management but I figure since I am on vacation, why bother!
It's been fun reading all the posts! Thanks for the poll.

I work full time as a manager (50-60 hours a week), only ds is now in college, so I can actually find some time to stamp on most weekends or every other weekend. I am glad to have found this site and get a lot of inspiration here! I do break tasks down, so one evening I may stamp a bunch of designs and then spend a few hours here and there coloring the images,matching ribbon, etc.while watching tv. I spent about 2 hours making cards this last Sunday and with all the miscellaneous stuff I had done 'ahead' I was able to turn out 12 cards. I keep trying to 'kick it up a notch' after seeing all the beautiful cards here, I am definately improving compared to when I first started a couple of years ago. I also second the comment that I have bought a lot more stuff since joining here, but it all improves the quality of the cards I make so I consider it worthwhile shopping, lol! DH even took me to Walmart this last weekend so I could specifically look for the clear stamps I read about on here, how sweet! I do make cards for my mil and she loves them, so it motivates him to support me in my habit. I would love to have more time to stamp, but I also love all things creative, so even with more hours I'm not sure I would use it all stamping! While my son was growing up, it was much harder to take 'me' time, since I knew once ds was grown, I would be done raising my child and I wanted to savor every moment.

I guess I make about 8 or 9 cards most weeks. I work 4 mornings a week and the other morning is for blitzing the house. But I like to try to do something each day.
