I took advantage of the 10% discount and the free shipping right before Christmas to treat myself to all my must-have retiring sets.

I did get Summer By the Sea and Winds of Grace, along with a few others.

If you really can't afford them right now, keep an eye on BST as business demos might be selling them since they can't demo them. Also ebay as a last resort.

Good luck!

Looking through the card gallery might help you make your choice. Season of Friendship didn't interest me at first, but then there were so many terrific samples, I had to have the set! It's a keeper.

I ordered mine at 11:55 pm on Dec 23 to get the free shipping. Of course, two were BO and just arrived. Good Luck...

Oh, I love Riot of Petals and Winds of Grace!! I picked up the couple of stamps I like from Summer by the Sea from a seller in the BST forum.

That's the first thing I learned when I started using SU! Retirement does NOT mean it goes away. It means you may be able to pick it up for a lot less in the BST forum !

The retired sets will be popping up all over and we will be able to purchase them on B/S/T or on ebay and craig's list. Don't mean to rain on your parade but it worked out well for me this time because I don't like any of the retired sets except Crab & Co. and I had purchased that already. I did purchase 3DSP packs, lets say my husband and I won't be eating steak this week! lol

I would get season of friendship. Since it is a minicatalog set, it can't be sold here until Oct 1. It will also be harder to find because it was only available for a short time. It is unlikely to show up in a future catalog, because there is similar set in the new one (cute, but smaller tree).

Excellent point Kim. Season of Friendship is one of those timeless stamp sets.

Riot of Petals is my favorite in yoour list. It can be used so may ways, background -- main part of designs etc. Embossed, monochromatic schemes, vellum, water colored etc etc etc. Keep that one at the top of your list, particularly if you like florals.

I actually don't worry about the sets that are retiring...if I didn't want it bad enough to buy it while it was current, why would I want to spend the money on it because it's not going to be available?

If there are things you wanted all along but hadn't gotten around to ordering yet, then definitely hurry up and grab them!
