I'm teaching a "Scramping" class once a month at church and I'm looking for ideas. The women who come and (occassionally) men are NOT stampers. So I usually plan just one project. I post the supply list a couple of weeks before, and we all just kind of pool our stuff. We want the classes to be free.
So here's what I've done so far:
*For Easter--Pop Top Cans (everyone LOVED them)
*Altoid Tin Albums
Here's what I have planned:
*One Sheet Wonder (10 Quick Cards)
*Card Organizer
*Paper Bag Books
*Hot Cards
I'm especially interested in Stamping 101 type stuff and using things from around the house (ie Pop Top cans, Paper bags, etc)
What do you think?

Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I do a Technique Tuesday class..well did until the move came on us...they learn 2 techiniques and make 6 cards doing them so they can really work it out. they are putting to gether a "ring" of techniques and we almost finished so now i have put up a website and we are going to be doing it all virtually.

I volunteer at our senior center, and we meet twice a month. We've done the following:
cards for that month
bookmarks
coasters
candles
magnets (using 1" square floor tiles)
dry embossing
regular embossing
masking
using a stamp positioner
direct to rubber
watercolor pencils, crayons, twinkling H20's
prismacolor pencils
chalks
using templates for envelopes, cards, gift tags, gift cards
cards with punches
corner adorners.
Basically, any ideas that I can find.
Each project can be done by a non-stamper or experienced stamper.

You might want to have a class teaching them to make envelope packages -- that's probably not what they are called, someone help me out here!
Take a business sized envelope, seal it. Using wheel stamp, completely cover front and back of envy with images. Using decorative scissors, cut the envy about 2/5ths of the way, creating 2 pieces one bigger than the other. Larger piece is the bottom - crimp this piece "sideways" so that this part will easily slip inside of the other smaller piece, which is now the top! Stamp sentiment (happy b-day, etc) on piece of white cs, cut out and put on panel that matches the color of the stamping done with the wheel. Attach this senitiment panel to top section of envelope. Add a satin ribbon tied around diagonal corners like package with the bow in the upper left portion. People can then untie the ribbon when they get home and add a gift or card. If you use those large envelopes that fit a piece of paper folded in half (don't know technical name for these), the finished package will fit a CD. My church ladies loved making these because they were so fast and very cute when done....they all used them, too, which is the sign of a successful project!

Hmmm... I thought about the shaving cream. I need to order more re-inkers though. Shaving Cream is definetly an ohh/ahh technique.
Pop top cans are the type you have to pull the ring and the top comes off. Like campbell's soup, cat or dog food or fruit cocktail. They are so MUCH fun. I gave them to my Assistant during dental assistant appreciation week and one of them made them for her grown children for Easter. Here's a link to the gallery.
Great ideas!! I love the candles, too. I totally forgot about the envies. I gave gift certs at Christams with those. I could do Bagalopes in the same class.
Keep the ideas coming... I could be busy for years!!!
