Default SQUARE metal edge tags???

Okay, now I know people cheat on circle metal edge tags and buy them at office stores (LOL), I am wondering if we can buy square metal edge tags somewhere else.

I need tons pretty soon and I really do not want to spend fortune on those....

Thansk in advance!

I've seen them at Michael's and AC Moore

I cheated when SU first came out with the metal edged tags. But there is a difference between SU's tags and the one's I got at Michaels and JoAnn's. The one's from Michael's and JoAnns have a hole already punched in them and SU does not. If you need a hole they will be fine, but if you don't Also I realized that the hole in the square tag was in a place that I didn't always want it. Does that make sense? Sometimes you want the hole in the corner instead of in the middle. So be aware before you buy. HTH

I agree about the holes, but if the savings is significant (and I think it would be!) you could always cut a square of cardstock to fit inside the rim. I've done that many times, especially when I've mucked up a tag!

I stick an eyelet in the hole like I meant it to be there all along.

Does the SU square punch make a square that will fit the tag?
If so...that would make replacement easy.

Just a thought....If they don't absolutely positively have to be metal-edged, you could a) emboss the edge using the Versamarker & your choice of metal EP or b) use a paint pen to edge the cardstock.

Thank you ladies, for great ideas! You gals are so creative!

Just tried punches (thought it was a great idea) and the 1 1/4 is a tiny bit smaller than the small metal edge tag!!!

Thanks again!
