Default square lattice folder

I just opened my package and thought it was odd that the top is bigger then the bottom. Does anyone else have this folder and is theirs like that? Weird. I've not used it yet so I'm not sure if it leave a mark on the card stock.

Bigger? Wider? Mine isn't like that, it's like all my other folders.

But first run something through it and tell us if you like it, that's one of the top things on my list.

I love it. Definitely worth the money. I love how each side is a different design. I think this might be my new favorite folder. I will have to call SU first thing.

It didn't leave line like I thought it would. About every 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch it creased the card stock. I've never seen a folder do that before and I've used my cuttlebug a ton to emboss. I think I really need those sides to hold down the card stock.

This might be the new design. All of my Sizzix Tim Holtz folders are like that

Question

Will the square lattice embossing folder work in the cuttlebug? I think it should just wondering if anyone has tried it?

Mine is the same and so are all my new Tim Holtz folders. It sounds like it's a new design feature - not a mistake.

Yep, all my newer Sizzix folders are like that. I'm not overly fond of they way it looks, but it takes away the line the folder leaves if you're embossing a piece that's bigger than the folder.

Yes. It's in the current Mini (Summer 2010) and also in the new Idea Book & catalog.

I love my square lattice EF, although I have trouble getting it to glue down. What have you found to be most effective in adhering it to the paper beneath or above it?

I also use double stick tape with any embossed card stock. I like to make sure my stuff stays stuck.

I use my ATG to adhere most of the cardstocks I use embossing folders on...seems like everything else doesnt hold them down.

Mine is the same way and I figured that is was supposed to be that way and I let it go. It still works, but it is about 1/4" shorter on both sides.

That is the new design for all the embossing folders, not just SU. It's supposed to help with not having the line that is not embossed around the edge so long as your paper is no longer than the bottom piece.

Thanks for letting me know about this being a new design. I thought maybe the folder being 1/4" short on both sides was some sort of change, but then after reading this thread I wasn't sure.

It's so that you can slip card base onto it and it will emboss the entire front.
