Default So what did you think of the new 5 PaperTrey releases?

I love them all but do I need them all? LOL

Did you order any and if so, which ones?

I had to limit myself to 2, (for now!), circle and oval; I have more punches to match those; I loved all the samples in the gallery (as usual)!

I have all the punches, and have ordered all of the borders. Oh my, I can't believe I did that. Some of my punches, mainly the squares are the button style. I'm hoping that they will work with them, too. Now, I'm very eager to get them. I made cards yesterday using the Little Lady with the scallop circles punches as a tent topper. That's going to be our project at the senior center this week. I also want to do some with the butterfly set.

I am having trouble getting the website to work. I can't see a few of the sets, only the ovals. I also can't get to the tag maker. Anyone else having problems?

Smile fabulous!

I loved them all & ordered all of the sets that I currently have the punches for (oval, circle, square)- I don't have the rectangle or the heart punches (yet!) so I didn't order those sets.

I think whether or not to order them depends on how much you love/use the punches. I LOVE them & use them ALL the time- in fact- I have a hard time making a card & NOT using them now-a-days- ha! So first & foremost I know they will get a lot of use unlike some of my other sets.

Many times I order a set that I like the look of or I want it for a particular occasion (someone's b-day or v-day or xmass) but only use it a few times on that occasion and then it sits on my shelf- let's face it you're not going to use the same xmass set year after year or make someone a b-day card with the same set year after year- so those stamps are nice- but not necessarily practical. These are so practical- I know I will use them as accents with my punches all the time- on their own with a sentiment/image from other sets- over & over- so I know I'm going to love them.

I do some hand doodling as borders with my punches now- it really gives it that added touch that can make a "wow" card- but I usually do it as an after thought & then I always hold my breath while I'm doing it for fear I will mess up & have to start all over again. Not only will these be a different option (I think many give a nice formal look that you don't get with the hand doodling) - I won't have to worry about an errant scribble- that's nice.

That was my thought process, anyway... yes- you can call me a bad, bad enabler.

I got one set that I have the most punches of (circles) and then I will see how much I use it before I invest on a lot more punches. Hopefully between cuttlebug and SU they will have the smaller punch sizes I seem to be missing. I have all the Gigas it is the smaller I am lacking...and I am going to get the Spellbinder nesting dies so I am soooo torn! arg

I loved all of them but being an SU demo, I could not justify getting them. I had 5 of the previous released sets and I think that Papertreyink sets are to die for but I did not use them often enough to justify keeping them. I looked on my stamp shelf and noticed that I had more sets that I could not demo with. I blame this on SCS and all the fabulous artists that upload their works of art. So, I made the decision that while I am an active demo and trying to focus on my business that I would not buy any stamps other than SU. I hate it, but it has to be done!!!!! I really love these sets, especially the little elements that go along the edges and in the scallops.

I loved them! Sadly, I didn't order any yet. I just became a demo so I had to buy the kit, then I put in another hefty order so I really should stop there, lol! Maybe in a few weeks when my bank account comes out of shock I'll be getting the circle and square

I got the circle and the oval because, as everyone else says, those are the punches that I have - and I waited up until midnight to place my order. My husband thinks I'm crazy but what does he know

I got 4 out of 5. I don't like the heart scalloped punches, so I didn't bother with the heart set.

I love them all but only got the circle, square & oval because I only have punches for those and then only the Giga & Mega ones. I will wait to see how much I use them before ordering more and getting more punches.

I already have the tag maker so I can use that with it too which is cool.

I limit myself to just 2 this time. (oval & circle) I think I would use those 2 the most. I really like the heart one but I dont have any heart punches, so I will wait to get more after I get more punches. I was kinda bummed about the price. Maybe it was fine, I just was expecting the prices to be lower, mainly because they were coming out with so many at once. But I think at this point they know we're all interested and no matter what they are going to sell them. Cant wait to get them in the mail!

Well I specifically got up at 5AM GMT so I could order. I actually placed two orders:
1. Oval, Square & Rectangle sets, Mega Oval & Rectangle punches
2. Circle set, TagMaker and various tags

I decided to place the second order because the TagMaker wasn't available right at midnight EST. And I went back to bed after my first order and just couldn't stop DREAMING about PaperTrey and that doggone Circle Set!! I can't WAIT to get my goodies!!!

Well.. I initially purchased the Circle and the oval as well as the rectangle, then I realized that I forgot to buy the block that you need for the larger stuff, ..... so I went back moments later and purchased the square and the heart to go along with the block so I could hit my $40 minimum mark.... yeah that's it..that's the ticket!

I have been purchasing the punches over the last few weeks, and really the only ones I didn't really have were a few of the squares, and all of the hearts, so I still need to fill in.

As far as cost.... if you look at the SU prices for a good portion of their sets.. most are in the $25.95 -$30.95 range, and they don't have near as many stamps as these sets do. Even after you factor in the SU discount, and pay for shipping, this is a steal compared to those prices!

Plus the fact that you can easily mix and match them with just about everything is Fantastic to me! I love that they store in a CD case and not some bulky box, and I LOVE not having to CUT them! You can see where to place them easier...to me they are the easiest things to use.

I also like that some ingenious ladies have turned that Ladybug set into all kinds of different things! These sets are so darned versatile..you just can't lose!

I plan to use all of the sets with existing SU shaped punches, and just plain cardstock. I don't think you need a punch to get started with these sets..that's a perk IMO!

While I love Paper Trey and have all their other sets, I agree that these were just too pricey for such a simple concept. I have plenty of teensy stamps to stamp in curves of scallops. Also, so many companies are coming out with this idea that I already have some things that I can make work for this. Unmounted stamps are pliable and I have been able to make some of these shapes with cheap stamps from sale bins elsewhere. I will pass on this, because while they look fun, I don't think they are really anything new, not to mention that with a simple set of rulers and compasses I can easily do much of this in seconds!

I purchased the circles and ovals. I have the square and rectangle punches but don't use them as often as my circle and oval punches. I was hoping the sets were going to be a bit smaller and, in turn, a bit cheaper, to make buying the variety of them easier but since they were $24 each, I had no trouble stopping myself at only purchasing two.

I got the rectangle and square sets. This morning by the time I was up and ordering, the circle and oval were already sold out, so I put in a backorder for those.

Indeed - can you say "So Much" $31.95!! plus tax and shipping on top of that. (and I am an SU demo, so I get to say that).

I think I will get a lot of use out of these sets, and thought the prices were very reasonable especially since I ordered two of them and got free shipping .

To each their own..... that's what makes this big old world such an interestin place!

I might have ordered a set or 2 but it's frustrating that they are already out of stock. I feel that they should have more in stock since they know there is such hoopla about them on this site. Happens every month it seems.

I ordered the oval and the circle sets. When I checked the site at 9am they were already sold out. But since it would only take a couple of weeks I decided to order them on backorder. I will probably get the rectangle punch and stamps to go with it another time. Can't wait to get them and play

I ordered all 5 in a fit of midnight madness. I think they are like a basic black dress, KWIM? They are classic, basic stamps and I think they will be very versatile for years to come. I don't own many of the scallop punches, but these stamps will make great background papers as well as work with the punches.

It was a LOT of money to plunk down all at once, but I figured I'd just jump in and hope I can get a lot out of them. Now I can't wait to play with them.

I got the square set. I was thinking that shape is very versitile - one can cut a square very easily - which although will not have scallops on the sides, the borders will still look fantastic! That doesn't mean I won't go back for more tho!!! LOL

I ordered square, circle, and oval. I had intended to stay with a $40-45 budget, but my 15yo daughter egged me on. LOL I, too, had been hopeful that the sets would be less expensive, but there are so many more stamps in them than I expected! I will use these a lot--with and without the punches. Always happy with PaperTrey's quality and service. Love those ladies!

I really like the new stamp sets, but I won't be ordering them for awhile. For the time being, I can doodle and draw most of those designs. I need to save up for my first SU order that I'll *finally* be making next week. That list is too long, and because they're images (and supplies) that I can't do myself, they take precedence. But I do LOVE the papertrey sets.

I liked them but decided that I could do without them. I haven't yet placed my first order from the new SU catalog. I've been waiting to see if the PaperTrey sets were must-haves. Now that I've decided that they're not, I'm going to be sending my SU demonstrator an order.
