Default So so stamp set that really grew on you?

Did you ever get a stamp set that you were kinda "ho hum" about, but then for whatever reason you really started to like it?

What was the set?
--------
I ordered Greetings Galore as part of my demo package thinking it would be a useful set to demo but not really in love with it. Just peeked in the gallery and I'm actually kinda excited about it now.

yup!
Actually I ordered In Full Bloom because of what I saw in the gallery then after I ordered it wasn't to thrilled about it. I was really regretting getting it. I considered trading it or something. But I made myself use it and now I love it!

Burst Into Bloom - had it, didn't see the big deal, I'm not a flower person. Till my demo/friend suggested cutting the flowers out, using pop dots, doing things like that. Now I really like it.

One that I never saw the big deal about, not even after looking in the gallery, was Canvas. But then something happened, and I started to like it and bought it. Still getting the hang of using it, but I love the effect.

Stipple Celebrations. Hated the look of it in the catty, but saw it demoed, and bought it the same day. Use it all the time

When last year's catty came out, I didn't think I would like In Full Bloom but after seeing lots of examples in the gallery I decided to buy it and it's a set I use a lot now.

both stipple celebrations and shapes and shadows: I bought both sets when they were on sale for 50% of this year and I only bought them because of that....I thought, ugh, what did I just buy those sets for???And then, fell in love with shapes and shadows right away after seeing its versatility (did you know that the snowflake in S & S is the same reverse image as the one in stipple celebrations???!!!)....stipple celebration took me longer to like-but when I got my bold brights stampin spots-I became hooked as well!

This is funny that you ask. My (future) upline and I were discussing this last night. I'm trying to decide on what stamps I want for my kit. I just can't get excited about Loads of Love, but as each day goes by, I'm starting to like it a little more. We'll see if I actually order it ;) I'll keep you posted.

It was definately Shapes & Shadows for me. In the catty last year it just looked meh. But I bought it during the 50% off promo because I figured I could show the versatility to new stampers and once I had it in my hands it became on of my favs! It really is a fantastic set!!

Paint Prints. I couldn't figure out why SU would make a set like that until I saw it demo'd. I love it now and was glad I got it during SellABration!

For me, it is Bundle up, I saw it a long time agoa nd was not impressed one bit, in fact the whole line of SU stamps that are solid with lines or squiggles drawn thru them really are not my thing, but after joining scs and seeing all the great cards made with Bundle up, I bought a set last night... can't wait til it comes in!

Paint prints for me too! I totally by-passed it at first in the SAB catty b/c I have tons of flower sets. I saw it demo'd, fell in love, and have used it SO much!

Smile Good Times

Someone gave me Good Times as a gift. At first I didn't like it, but I started using it anyhow, because it was the only set I had. Now I love it and use it for all my gift tags.

Nope. If I didn't love it from the get-go, I end up not loving it even after I get it and play with it. :( So, I've learned to admire what others can do with a set I feel no love for, and that's enough for me!

Mixed Bouquet for me - I wasn't the least bit interested in it when the mini first came out, but after seeing what people could do with it, I had to order it!

I agree with Maddygirl about Shapes and Shadows and Stipple Celebration. I bought Stipple Celebration because it was on sale and now I love both sets. Stipple Celebration is so versatile! It is great for all seasons, cards and scrapbooks. I am thinking of using it for my first open house as one of three make and takes along with a set or two from the holiday mini.

Definitely Shapes and Shadows for me. I didn't even look at it until it was on sale last March, and something just hit me that it would be a really useful set. I thought Paint Prints was ugly at first too, until my demo used it with her chalk inks. I thought that the huge alphabet sets (Headline and Letterpress) were a dumb idea as well until I saw how they looked on scrapbook pages in the catty, and Headline will be on my next order.

Background stamps are another thing I had no interest in until Canvas, and even that took until this past June to order. Now I have 7 background stamps on my wishlist. And just last night I was looking at my catty and thinking "Those projects with the floral background stamps look really good" and I'm thinking that even though I hated that stamp when the catalog first came out, I think I'll probably order it next spring. But this can go the other way too, which is why I never order things when they first come out. Sometimes I can feel really gung ho over something and then decide I wouldn't like it all.

I'd have to say Mixed Bouquet - seemed so hohum in the mini catty, but then of course when this gang got a hold of it - the samples were fantastic and I had to get it immediately!!

Shapes & Shadows.

Just didn't seem to be my style. I was watching all the cool stuff being uploaded to SCS, however and then it went on sale that one month, and I purchased it. I've been demo'ing it all the time!

Love it!

In Full Bloom. Didn't like it at all in the catty. Used my demo's set and knew I had to have it.
