Hi,

Okay I'm new at this. I havent tried any of those companies. I will add them to my list. I have tried Stampin Bella & Verve. I think they both are great and the service is AWESOME.

Thanks,
Joi

I love these threads! I learn new names (W Plus 9) and find myself agreeing with many of the posts.

If you're looking for companies that only do stamps and not paper, embellies, etc., a few names come to mind that I didn't see mentioned are: Eureka (also QKR Stampede); Cow Town; and Rubber Stamp Avenue. Depending on your style, of course, you should find something at each of those to interest you b/c they each do such a wide variety. I've had good service on multiple occasions from all of those, and, if memory serves, they are all um red rubber. On 2nd thought, I think I was able to choose the mounting option @ Cow Town.

What I've done many times in the past is go to the gallery here and choose the option to view the galleries of "other" companies; that way I'm able to see the stamps themselves and what others are doing with them. I've found many good stamp companies that way.

Good luck in finding the right companies for you.

Ted, I was just going through this thread a little more closely and saw you like nautical. Glad someone suggested IO and beat me to the punch on Victorine Originals. VO has a set entitled "nautical set." You should take a look at it; I just got it a couple weeks ago, so I went ahead and measured the lighthouse for you - it's 3 1/4" x appx 1/2". I did that so you don't have to ask. I really love the knotted rope border that comes on that set.

I also own that MFP lighthouse set; I'm hunting for it to measure the lighthouse for you.

Also, check out some of my original suggestions; I know there are some nautical images by those companies, especially RSA.

Oh, and thanks for the poster who mentioned Gray Wolf (a new one to me) - how cool are those images?!?!?

Be sure to shop the sales to make your $s go further (incidentally, MFP is one of the companies having a good one right now).

Best of luck!

Thank you, Binx...I do like that nautical set. I don't think I have many sea-type images if you can believe it.

I don't see a sale on Mark's Finest Papers when I go to their site. Do you have a specific link?

Thanks again!

Hey Ted,

This is from an email dated 12-22-10

OUR BIGGEST SALE OF THE YEAR!

Save 20% on EVERYTHING in our store!

Use Promo Code: ChristmasGood thru December 29, 2010
FREE SHIPPING on all US orders over $100!

You may want to get on their mailing list; it will keep you updated on sales (which are usually 15%, BTW). Also, ODBD has a nice lighthouse or two. Flourishes has a beautiful sea shell set, if that interests.

If you are particularly interested in lighthouses, though, may I suggest going to the gallery and doing a search on "lighthouse?" You'll see ones you like and (sometimes) members will put the company they purchased the stamp from. JAT and HTH.

Ted....hmmm...you look oddly familiar...do I know you from somewhere?

The other stamps I would recommend - and I only use clear stamps - are Verve (already mentioned) super fast shipping (of course I live like 10 miles from them - LOL) but their shipping is affordable like $3 or something...and the stamps are top notch quality to what you are used to with the other company you are referencing Lawn Fawn stamps are cutesy if you are in to that, quick shipping, and again just a few bucks. I have ordered WPlus9 a couple of times for gifts - quick shipping and cheap shipping...but can't say on the quality. And then there's Mint Motif that you can order from I Heart Papers - they have a great school/teacher set that I bought and love and was in need of another as I only had the one Teacher's Apple set from PTI...and to ship the one set was only $3. I like my first order from WMS - high quality for sure...and it got here in a week...but I found it to be a little on the pricey side for the stamps and the shipping. I would probably make a list and only order like once or twice a year from them.

Thanks for the insight on these stamp companies!

Our StoryThe Angel Company™ was founded in Salina, Kansas in 1997 by Mischelle Smith. Prior to starting The Angel Company™ Mischelle demonstrated for a direct sales company selling and demonstrating the art of rubber stamping. It was during a workshop that Mischelle was questioned if the company she was demonstrating for was an "angel company". Having never heard this term before, Mischelle asked the customer what an "angel company" was."Angel company" is an informal term that rubber stampers had created to identify companies that would allow the purchaser to use the stamp for personal use as well as profit. Most rubber stamp companies do not allow this, so this was an easy way for stampers to relay to one another who was an "angel" and who was not. The company Mischelle demonstrated for was not an angel company. The customer thanked Mischelle and left the workshop because she “only purchased stamps from angel companies”.

Mischelle spent several weeks researching "angel companies" and wrapping up business obligations with the company she was demonstrating for. Just three short weeks after hearing the words "angel company" … The Angel Company™ was born.

Today, The Angel Company™ is a strong, growth minded company doing what we love. We are proudly represented by Angels in all 48 contiguous states as well as Alaska and Hawaii. We also have Angels in Guam, Puerto Rico and US Military Bases Worldwide.

Hey there Ted! What a great thread this is! I, too, have most of my stash from one particular company (whom I just looooove) but with my other stamps, the ones I actually use are from The Cat's Pajamas. I've got a bunch of the retro cat and dog stamps and the slightly snarky sentiments and I just love them. They just fit my personality when I want to be a little bit goofy, and the images are so crisp and clear. I've used them on cards for men especially, which as you know, can be hard on the mojo. I buy them as unmounted singles but it seems a lot of them come in sets, too. And now there's a big sale after Christmas.

And, I have ordered online from Rubbernecker. They're great, and shipping could not be any better. They have several different lines that might interest you.

I haven't heard of some of these other companies but I'm definitely going to check them out.

Great thread, Ted. It's definitely given me some new (to me) companies to explore.

I don't think anyone's mentioned Our Daily Bread. They focus on scriptural sentiments but have some great images, too.

For lighthouses, check out Keep My Lamp Burning and Light of the World here.

Pat - yep, I've seen ODBD stamps and I think I'll be shopping there VERY soon. I LOVE scriptural stamps.

Laura - yes, please do... I'm very intrigued as there is a wolf-head image there I really like as well as the Boston Harbor light image.

I've bought several stamp sets from Raisin Boat. I must really like the ones I "rent" because once I've used them, I want to keep them!

They stamp nicely - good ink coverage which can be tricky for some brands of clear stamps.

Since I last posted, I received my stamps from Gray Wolf. They stamp wonderfully. I bought unmounted and I mount on ez mount. Good ink coverage and easy to stamp a good image. I would highly recommend them.

I am a huge fan of Gina K as well. I have many of her sets on my wish list and have purchased from her a few times. Great service, awesome stamps, and I love Stamp TV! I also have Waltzingmouse on my when-the-budget-loosens-up list. Impression Obsession and Hero Arts are also my favorites - great quality stamps and wonderful customer service.

Ted, I've been feeling the exact same way lately! Even though I'm still a major supporter and fan of the same company, I need a change of pace.

I have several stamp sets from W9Plus. I love them. Excellent quality. Fast shipping. The owner/designer is very nice.

I recently discovered Kitchen Sink Stamps and am going to place an order very soon. They're different from anything I have, and I like that.

I've never ordered from Waltzingmouse even though there's lots to like. I think I'll be placing my first order when the new release comes out. I'm really liking the Western-themed sets I'm seeing on the design team blogs.

I'm also liking a lot of what I'm seeing from Technique Tuesday.

I always have bought a lot of Hero Arts. It's still one of my favorite companies.

Gina K has a lovely selection also, and like mentioned above.....wonderful customer service and they are FAST.

Also love the store in Puelsbo, Washington....Rubber Soul~again a great selection and the owner is the best! I had the pleasure of visiting her fantastic store last summer.

I'm looking at some MFP stamps as well. I have what may be a dumb question - are these "clear" stamps the type you use with acrylic blocks?
