I have no idea yet what this was about, but when I checked out with my snowflake sizzlets (40% off) my winter cuttlebug embossing folders, and my only clear dollar stamp -the cashier told me to go buy a candy bar...
I told her I didn;t want one, but thanks anyway...
She insisted...
At this point I thought this woman was nutz... and declined again...
She told me she would give me $5.00 off if I did...
I asked where the candy bars were
sooooo.. I think there may be a coupon sneaking somewhere I don't know about, because it says there was a coupon swiped on my receipt...
Just a heads up in case someone else decides to go to Jo's - you can ask about it I spent enough tonight as is, so I dont plan on shopping anytime soon. I'm trying to avoid even going out on black friday...
I have had this happen before. If you spend a certain amount, you get a extra five dollars off. I got within a few cents of getting the extra discount, so the cashier told me to buy a piece of candy. Nice of them to do it, most places don't care about returning customers.
That makes so much sense! I was close to 25 then because I ended up spending 20.00
she was so funny about it too, almost as if it was a game for them.. I used to work at M's a few years back and we did things like this when we were cashiers and bored out of our minds...
I just wish she would have told me go buy another stamp
The have merry moolah or something right now. It is for the before black Friday sales. They have 20% off your entire purchase early Friday morning and I think Sat. morning too.

Yep, they have coupons good thru Weds for $5 of your purchase of $25-$50, $10 off $50-$75 and $15 off $75 or more.
I gave my coupons to a coworker today to buy some decorative greenery for the office; she spent just over $150 and got $30 off - they used all 3 coupons on one purchase (because $25 + $50 + $75 = $150)
If you don't receive their flyers in the mail, they have these coupons available at the store.
And the ones for Friday and Saturday - the 20% off your entire purchase includes sale items (last year I got Mono Multi when their adhesives were 40% off, plus the additional 20% for the coupon - sweet.) If you receive their flyers, there are also coupons for Friday morning and Saturday all day for 50% off a single item.
I Love JoAnne Fabrics. They have a superstore down the street from me. It is huge and has everything you can imagine. I've had this candy thing happen to me before. I always spend way too much at JoAnne's as it is. I go there way too much!!! My hubby says, let me guess you were at Joannes today!
Just have to say, the gal's at my local JoAnns are great! They always make sure we get the best value for our bucks by reminding us to take advantage of *all* the coupons!
