I was looking at inkyantics.com today and saw Shimmer Chalks. Has anyone used these? They sound intriguing.
I have those chalks in the pastels. They are very pretty with just a little shimmer. I like them but I have only used them once because I haven't had a lot of time to stamp since I got them. I see now they have the bold colors. I have been thinking about ordering them to!
I have some shimmer chalks (TAC sells them too! ) and they look so pretty. What inspired me to get them is when one TAC demo posted a card where she just colored in roughly the images...to give you a feel of the color. But, she didn't completely fill in all the open space to the lines. Does that make sense? I have to get them out and try it...it was a wonderful look!
I saw a demo of these chalks at a rubber stamping convention. The demo used a light application of the pastel ones all over the card when she was finished coloring in the image with her colored pencils. It gave just a slight shimmer to the entire card. Very pretty. I would have bought them but had already spent my limit.
I have them. I haven't opened my bold colors yet because I too have not been stamping much ( I know shame on me!) But I do like them, I like the fact that I can put them where I want them and they stay there. They also are so much smoother than SU Pastels....no scritchy scratchy feeling...And the shimmer is there but not as glaring as say pearlex... I like em!
I just bought mine from them and love them I have the darker colors more earth and rich regals colors.they are very easy to use I also bought the little tool to grab them better.
all you have to do is stamp with a water ink like versamark then use your tool and pick up some color from the chalk onto the cottn ball and rub onto the versamerk and the colors appear. wipe away any chalk you don't want.then leave as is or you can spray with a workable fixative.to keep the chalk from rubbing off on you but it will stay there.
