Default Sharpies Question

Okay SCS, I feel like I am out of the loop. What is the big thrill with Sharpie Markers on this site? I personally love them because I used the constantly when I was an elementary teacher (before I had my first baby). There must be some really neat technique that I am missing out on. Please fill me in....I'm dying of curiosity.

Lots use them for coasters on the tumbled tiles because they are permanent. I haven't gotten into the craze yet but someday soon I will!!

You can use them to color on acetate, color on dominoes, metal tags, hmm.. I'll think of more later!
