Novell told me about this place when we were shopping for the shoebox swap. I still haven't been there but I really want to go. "Fortunately" it's in a neighborhood that I don't frequent.

WHAT? I hadn't heard this. There are stores in Shoreline and Everett too.

OH you ladies are making me so happy to see this site. My hubby is about 99% sure he is getting a job in the Tacoma area starting in September. Sorry if this sounds like a hijack but can you advise a good area to look for a house? I have a 3 yr old, 7 yr old, and a 14 yr old. Need an area that is open to a family that has many races represented. . .

That used to be the case for me but unfortunately, my SU demo lives in that area!

Tacoma is a HUGE city but I'm not familiar with things that far south. I'm a north end girl

Thanks for all the input. I thought I could get away with visiting only one store but it looks like I need to make some time for more than one. Mmm. If I do my work after the stores close, how much time will that give me???

We are coming in on Sunday but too late to make it to the stamping convention. I didn't find out about it until after we bought our tickets. I was bummed. I have never been to one before.

Juliehrr,
I am going to be on Whidbey Island in July/August to visit family... Is that scrapbooking store in Oak Harbor on Main Street still there? Do they have any new stores on the island that cater to scrappers/stampers? We haven't been there in 4 years.
Thanks,
NIcci

Some more stores...

Stamping in the Rain in Bothell. Located in the Country Village.

Fun Stamps in Lynnwood. Nearby is a GREAT scrapbook store, Lasting Memories.

Don't forget about the scrapbook store in Issaquah near Make an Impression...Mad Scrapper.

The Stamping Pad (stamp store), on Pioneer Way, is still there, but has a new owner, Salla Wagner, and she's an absolute PEACH!!! And, to my knowledge, you still always get the 6th yard of ribbon free if you buy 5. I just love Salla! She's just the nicest, and cuter than a bug's ear! And, she always has such darling samples on display!

The original scrapbook store, that was just down the way from her shop, is gone now, replaced by an antique shop.

The scrapbook store, Creative Heart (which may have opened after you left) is in the little strip mall where Safeway and Rite Aid are--they just moved down 2 doors into a bigger space, and have an espresso bar at the front when you first walk in.

Creative Heart has a limited selection of rubberstamps (WM, and clear), and inks, back in the far left corner--they cater more to scrapbookers, but they do have have a pretty good selection of product for altered-art projects, like Tim Holtz, etc.

Enjoy your visit to Whidbey!

Rubber Soul is my favorite (I like Impress and Paper Zone too). There is one in Redmond Town Center. They carry a very large selection of Rosie's Roadshow stamps.

Question Craft stores in Seattle?

I'll be in Seattle this weekend and wanted to know if there are any fabulous stamping/crafting/scrapbooking stores that I should check out while I'm there. Thanks in advance!

I guess it depends on where it town you'll be (north, south, eastside?). For the northend check out Lasting Memories and Fun Stamps in Lynwood and Craft Mart in Marysville. I also like Ben Franklin but they are in Monroe, Bonnie Lake and Redmond. There ares several other little stores sprinkled throughout the area and others have told you about the big ones at Southcenter. Have fun!!

Yes, Amuse is in Seattle, but it is not in the downtown area. You might want to map it from where you will be staying. Monkey Love is probably the closest lss to downtown.
