I am working on getting the sitters together. I have two DDs myself and DH will be gone to the Desert at that time. So don't worry. There will be at least 2 babysitters there to help with the kiddos.

When you say "Smoking Technique" are you referring to soot stamping? Just wondering if we'll all be handling an open flame...I don't know if I'm comfortable with that...not to be a partypooper or anything, sorry! Also, I thought I rsvp'ed, I don't see my name on the latest list. Thanks!

Yes soot stamping is what we will be doing. If you choose not to participate in that make and take you don't have to. I've added your name to the list.

thanks

Ok, I'm really starting to stress about this.

I've mentioned many times that I'm not a 'hard core' stamper--I just do it occasionally--*gasp* I hardly have any supplies, let alone SU! supplies--*gasp again* I'm really looking forward to this, but what can a 'soft core' stamper do to accomodate everyone else? Can I just bring extra money and hand that out?!?!? Give me some ideas, please!

I can bring yummy food to make up for no stamps

Jennifer,
I am going to PM you sometime soon and have you help me out with something. That's about as clear as mud. I will need your help with some things, both before hand and on the 26th. How's that? Also, it's okay to be a "soft core" stamper. My pastor's wife is one too and she is more of a scrapper than a stamper...
I just want you to come and have a good time and I want to finally meet you!!! I am thinking about making some apple bread for a break time. Is that enough of a temptation to get you to come up from the Springs??

Did I mention that I am coming? Robyn is gonna come and get me! I'll be the fool wearing the big ol' CATIE sign.

Catie

Oh! P.S.-due to my dwindleing supplies, the Omaha gathering is coming up and I am gonna be unable to swap full-cards. I am making a couple for the troops, but are there anyother rogues out there who are gonna 'accidentaly' have just card fronts to swap too? I might be able to swing a few fronts if there will be others but I didn't want to bring some if noone else is. Sorry to go against the grain on this.

Catie, I was thinking the same thing, but then I looked in the subject box. I think that Julie is looking for Wonderful Wings and Autumn.

Hi Catie! You are coming?!! Yay! I am going to "demonstrate" soot stamping and I was hoping someone could bring "wonderful wings and/or "autumn". I think that technique works best with sets like that.

I would like to know since this event is from 12-8 p.m.
What else is scheduled besides 3 demonstrations, a swap and a few make and takes.
Are we suppose to bring something to work on?
Did I miss something like a shoe box swap?

Hello Everyone! What kind of a swap do you want to do? Do you want to have a theme, a list of ingredients, color family, etc.? Or do you want to have a free-for-all? I'd like to know so that I can order enough stuff.

Has there been a decision on the swap? I saw some posts regarding full cards vs fronts only. Stampin up supplies only vs anything goes. Themes etc. I would like a definitive answer on what to prepare for.

Well as far as I know I think we had decided on full cards only. I believe the swaps are anything goes unless something else changes.
And since this is a SCS get together I guess we don't have to do SU only products, but I think its perferred.
As of today we have 35 signed up to attend, but the deadline is not until the tenth of Feb.
I will send out email with updates to those of you who have given me your email address.

my preference would be anything goes - I am not a demo and so tend to have a little of this and a little of that as far as paper and sentiments go.

Default CO get together

I just learned about this site from my upline and it's great! Thank you!!
1) Sarah Miles
2) Fountain, CO
3) I'm brand new to CO...and relatively new to stamping, so my first choice would be to stay local, but that doesn't rule out going to Denver if the get-together is there. How's that for vague?!
4) I don't have any contacts for places to rent yet.
5) I'm available any time.
6) I'd like to get together and meet other SCSers and stamp, maybe some demos of techniques...
7) Yes, I can make it on Feb. 26.

I'm so excited! I just booked my room for the get together! I managed to turn this into a "Mommy needs a scrapbook for sanity" weekend, so will get to stay for 4 days. Woo hoo!!

If any of the out of towners need a room, check out the Summerfield Suites - 1 bedroom suite for $44/night. Includes a full size kitchen, hot breakfast buffet. It is located at I25 & Arapahoe (close to Park Meadows mall). PM me if you want additional info.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Still confused about the swap! Earlier post says SU! only, full cards. Are we sticking to all SU! or not? Also, what is the fee? Sorry, but this is how I'm going to base my decision on if I'm going or not. I don't want to RSVP yes, and then not show.

Thanks!

I think they said $15 a few pages back.

EDIT: Go to page 5-that's where Julie talks about all the things we need to do.

Thanks -- I saw that, but above she says we might not have to use SU products only, so I'm wondering if there has been a definite decision made or not.
