Default Scrapbook Expo St. Charles

I haven't been in 10 years. Can anyone tell me what quality it is now? Don't plan on cropping, just shopping, maybe make n takes. Didn't really see any classes that caught my fancy. It is a long drive for me so lots of driving + hotel. Want to make sure it will be worth it before I invest my whole weekend and all that money (just to go, before I even get to buy anything!)

So, how was last year's?

I went to a Scrapbook Expo earlier this year - it was halfway between my sister and me, so we met for a sisters weekend. It looks similar to the one in St. CharlesI enjoyed it. I did take several workshops - the Fabulous Folds and the Cool Tools are the ones I see listed that I took, as well as an advanced pop up card one I don't see. I enjoyed them all, but the "freebies" we got at Cool Tools included some stuff I already owned (a score-pal!)

I spent more time in workshops than I did doing make n takes. I thought the vendors were good, and there were plenty of booths. I have not been to many of these, so I don't have a lot to judge by. I would not have gone more than 1 day, but my one day was pretty full.

If you're coming to St. Charles Il. there is a lot to do in town. Take a walk along the Fox River. (It's Beautiful!) Lot's of Shopping! ( I used to live downtown St. Charles for 22 years. It's a great place!

St. Charles, Illinois - St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau - Home So you can do both. the Scrapbook Expo and tour St. Charles for the weekend.

Or Check out Geneva IL Welcome to Geneva, Illinois 3rd Street in Geneva has a lot of speciality Shops. Great places to eat grab a snack.

I heard there is a lot of good things going on at the Scrapbook Expo. Go and check it out.

I'll be there and I will be working a workshop for extra spending cash.

Think about it.....Hope to see you there!

I and a couple girlfriends are coming. This will be our first Scrapbook Expo (been to some Heirloom shows and Stamp-Away) but looking forward to the Expo because Sparkle N Sprinkle plus some vendors we never seen will be there. We're coming up on Fri. afternoon and will probably hit a stamp store or two before hitting St. Charles. Too bad the Stampers Cottage right there in St. Charles closed. We have tickets for Sat. but didn't sign up for any classes. Then on Sun. we'll hit some more stamp stores before heading home to Indy.

The lady who ran the Cottage Stamper. ran it into the ground. She had no idea what she was doing.

I really liked the First Owners way better. I miss them too!!! There really isn't any Stamp places in the area. Except Achrvers in Naperville.

I'll be working on Friday for about 3 1/2 hours. And then I'll go Saturday with other BFF's.

PS: I use to work next door at the Napa store. and lived across the street from the Napa store.

Nancy,

I used to get all of my Amuse stamps at the Cottage Stamper. I wonder if we were ever in the shop at the same time! I live just west of the fairgrounds.
