Default Scrabble Letter Tiles

Ok I found a Scrabble game at a Garage Sale for 25 cents. I thought "WOW I can use the tiles"

So now that I have this fabulous find - what are some ideas for them?

Not necessarily stampy, but I think these are super cute. I have a necklace and a ring, and I'm sure I'll make more:

Default Scrabble Sample

Here's one I made for my nephew who is a Scrabble player and likes to camp with the Boy Scouts!

I think it would be fun to use a Scrabble letter just as you would a chipboard letter -- maybe on top of some layered cardstock squares. Now... if I could just remember where I put the rest of my Scrabble squares !!

I use them exclusively for the child's name on baby memory cans. Unless the design is super elegant feminine, I use the tiles.

Paint or attach DP to the backs, drill a hole through the letters of a name and attach them to a charm bracelet.

I saw a project which used scrabble tiles glued side by side to spell out a person's name or a word (e.g., AWESOME) and then had a pinback glued on the back. You could also glue them onto barettes to spell out a word or a name.

You can stamp on them with stazon ink and colour. It is nice to stamp an image, then pick out a piece of that image, stamp on the tile & attach over the main image.

Here's a card I did a couple of years ago. Got the idea from a magazine. (Sorry - don't know how to do thumbnails)

I just made a card for someone who loves scrabble! It's not altering tiles I know, but it seemed such a coincidence for you to be talking about scrabble just as I finished it!!! http://timeforcrafting.blogspot.com/

Sara, I just love your site. I am totally into making 3d cards one of my specialities. Several of us are sending cards to the troops and your cards inspired me. Love to know if I could get a kwik Threader here in the states?

Hi Bonnie, thank you so much for those lovely comments. The http://www.kwik-thread.comsite has a page for people in the US wanting to buy them, and I have lowered the price there in recognition of the rate of the dollar and pound at the moment. It is such a useful little tool it would be good to think of a way of selling more to you over there.
