Sale-a-Bration catty
Anyone gotten their SAB catty yet? I'm loving the funky layout and I'm wondering if others like it? I love the dsp, ribbon/button pack, vine street embossing folder and patterned occasions stamp set. The stamp set may be the only thing that pushes me to buy $50.00. I have to have the pair of jeans and the band-aid. Anyone else?

I don't dislike it but it IS different and kind of busy. They wanted to do something different to distinguish it from the spring mini I think. I do LOVE the cute flowchart on the back. It's kooky and silly and fun! I love the patterned occasions set too, in fact I already have it and have used it a number of times! I love that little elephant! The DSP is fun and pretty!
I have a long wishlist of items! I like the brochure. I've looked at it a gazillion times trying to make up my mind what to get first (the fun sentiment set will arrive Monday!).
I am not crazy about the layout but I like the products. Not the best way to display them but heck I just want stamps and paper and goodies!!!!! I love the punch!!!!
I'm sad that it's not a straight forward catalog with easily identifiable products and their prices. A chaotic presentation probably has a reason I just don't understand.

Are you talking about the SAB flyer? BEcause there are no prices. Everything is free in there with each $50 spent.
All the stamp images and stamps themselves are shown at 70% actual size. The brochure is fairly small and folds out with no stapled pages. All the photos and drawings look small, nothing is shown life size that I can see. I'm waiting to see what demos create with the items to have a better idea of what the products really look like.
I'm not crazy about the layout either-it looks cluttered and cramped. But what do I know what's stylish and trendy in graphic design these days?
Well then, that seems like it would be plain annoying to browse the brochure if one can't get an idea of how the stamp will be when ordered. Good idea to see what the demos will come up with.
It came in the mail, I opened it, found it annoying and confusing, I've put it away to deal with after Christmas!
I guess I'm not the type of person they are marketing to.
Confusing...chaotic...obviously, I don't care for it! Hard to read and prefer full size stamp photos.

Don't like the layout at all, but when I did finally figure out how to read it, saw several reasons to do some shopping. I just wish I'd get my spring mini, because other than several packs of cardstock, I've pretty much ordered what I want from the big catalog.

I don't like the brochure. Much prefer the traditional look and design of the mini catties. I need to see samples of what the stamp sets will do to get inspired to buy enough products to earn the Sale-a-Bration items. Just showing a very busy hodge podge of stamps, ribbons, buttons, etc. with no samples turns me off.
Looks to me that SU has a new marketing director who is going for a whole new look.
I personally hate it and am not inspired to buy enough to earn many items. Just not my personal taste.
For those that want to see full size versions of some SAB sets or more inspiration pictures, don't forget that SCS has an amazing SU gallery, and there's already a placeholder for SAB!
So, demos - keep posting your projects using new SAB items! And to those curious about what sets look like at 100%, check out the posts there. There's not a ton now, but I'm sure that by the time SAB opens up for shopping, there will be many more samples to see! My pre-order SAB set arrives Monday.
I love the new sale-a-bration catty because it is so different. It really makes one take a second look in order to see everything and isn't the same old thing over and over. I think Stampinup is marketing for the younger generation like myself (I'm 62).

No, they have a whole new marketing strategy to reach out their "un-tapped" market of Gen Y'ers so the 20 and 30 year old set. There has been much talk about it this year. There is a method behind the madness:-)
I would prefer more straight forward pictures. The foldout part doesn't bother me, but I need a picture that is more "literal". Samples should be artsy, products should be actual.

Okay, so I got the pamphlet thing showing stuff that I guess are the freebies if you order $50+. Don't really care for the confusing set up! SU must remember the 30++ might have $$$ to spend also so don't 'kiss us off' by making the sale-a-bration pamphlet so 'messy' and confusing. It looks like someone was told to include all you could on as little paper as possible!!!
What is the catalogue I received today that shows 'products available January 3-May 31, 2013? The title is: Making A difference For 25 years'? Now I am totally confused!
First let me say, I love SU products. HOwever....I hate the new mini and the SAB and I also hate the latest catalog. I can't tell you how many products I have missed because of the way they are now presented. It's hard to tell where the merchandise is on the page...
Today I got the new Spring catalog. It's laid out like the Holiday one and easier to navigate than the SAB. But the "suite" setups make things more complicated than they need to be-I just want to see the actual products like everyone else. I can figure out for myself what goes with what, but maybe I'm in the minority there.
But there are some nice things in the Spring one. My poor budget!

The catalogs are not available online until the date that they start and we can't post the links until then either per SU policy. Sorry! Hopefully you get it soon!!!
while i find the layout a bit wacky....i do love this years offers!
i nearly fainted when i saw a brand new punch as a choice AND
the matching stamp set as yet another !! being a punch addict, it wont be hard to find orders enough to earn both, LOL
and even better, this punch layers with the one in the main catty, something i have been wanting them to offer for a long time ;)

Yes, it does layer, but you have a large border. I prefer smaller borders...but I do like that they offer the punch and stamp set as well.

I agree 100%!
