Hello everyone! I saw LouieLouie's request for a RAK & thought it was a great idea. I have an aunt that is very sick with cancer & I'd love it if some of you would consider sending her a thinking of you card to brighten her day. Her name is Lola & her doctor told her she only has a few months (worst case) to a year (best case) to live. I am sad to say she isn't doing real well right now. She is fighting this, but she lives alone & I think this would really brighten her day. I won't get into details, but she has had a rough life & I know she would think this is the coolest thing to ever happen to her if she got a bunch of cards from around the country. I was trying to think of what I could do to help her know she is thought of & I think this might be really special.
Here is her information. Please post on here if you are planning to send a card. If a couple people (or more) are willing to do it I will call her & let her know she might get a few suprises in the mail. I don't want to tell her that if no one writes. The cards don't have to say much just something like 'just thought this card might make you smile' type of thing.
I would be happy to send your aunt a card! I will get it in tomorrow's mail. I am sorry she is having to go through this and it was very thoughtful of to think of her this way!
I will also be happy to send a card to your Aunt. Lost my dear Aunt to cancer in April, 2004. She was 76 and had struggled with the cancer for 4 years. Wishing your Aunt and family well.
