Default remounting unmounted stamps

I have been interested in the clear acrylic stamping system, due to the fact that my 2 step stamping stinks. I have seen where people are unmounting there SU! stamps. It looks alot better for storage. My questions are How do you remount it to the acrylic? Do you keep the cushion part attached to the rubber?

Thanks,
Jill

I use vinyl cling sheets, which I googled on line for..and bought.

I leave the foam on. I gently peel off the picture of the stamp, and put that inside my cd case. There is enough glue left on the foam that my vinyl sheet stick. Then I trim the vinyl down to the size of the stamp.

with new stamps, I just peel off the paper and adhere the vinyl.

very easy, and I'm very pleased. SO GLAD I'm doing it!! (I'm about half done....tend to convert a stamp when I'm ready to use it.)

I took mine off by nuking them in the microwave about 10 seconds (or until they peel easily). I was also able to take off the indexes (probably because I cover all my indexes with clear vinyl before I mount them) and lined them up best I could on the cushion of the stamp. You can then mount it onto your adhesive material. I usually just touch my acrylic block to my cleaning pad to moisten it, then the stamp usually sticks to it. If not, I have put a TINY piece of my double-sided tape on the back of the stamp. If I think my acrylic is getting too gunky, a squirt of stamp cleaner usually takes all the glue residue off. (I also use a diluted multi-purpose cleaner, one of those all natural things, as my stamp cleaner. It even gets the permanent inks off my rubber if I clean it right away. LOTS cheaper than the commercial cleaners,)

I'm not good at searching but there are many threads on this right here at SCS. And, there are many options. Personally, I prefer EZ Mount or similar cushion. I use that on most of my old sets and use the plain cling on most of my new sets. Some people just use the bare rubber or Aleens Tack it Over and Over, or double-stick tape. And, some people just use the regular foam, but stick it onto some fabric a couple of times to take away some of the stickiness.

I love it.

I guess my biggest concern is that I will goof it up and then bee out of a stamp.
