Default Recommendations for stores on East Coast?

Hi all!
I live in Massachusetts and have a brother who lives in North Carolina. I was thinking of taking a road trip down this summer to visit him, taking a few days to get down there and hitting as many stamp & scrapbooking stores that I could on the way down and back. The trip would basically be along I-81 or I-95.

Any recommendations on stores that would be worth including on my itinernary? I've farily flexible in terms of "detouring", if the stop is worthwhile.

Thanks in advance!

Love Betty's Stamping & Scrapbooking Room in Greensboro: Betty's Scrapbook Room - Betty's Scrapbook Room I have also been to Loving Hands Creations in Fayetteville. It's small but they have some nice classes. Loving Hands Creations: Rubber Stamping, Crafting & Gift Store Here's a list of NC stores, but I'm not sure how up-to-date it is North Carolina -- Scrapbook Stores
Have fun.

You might want stop at Photo Scraps in Eldersburg, Maryland, and ScrapDoodles in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Both are great shops, and neither will take you too far out of the way

Have fun!

This is another vote for Betty's in Greensboro. She and her husband have a great store are wonderful people. It's 3 hours from me and I make time on my rare trips west so that I can stop and spend some time there.

Scrapper's Cove in Milltown, NJ is nice also. It's off Route 1 near New Brunswich. Not far off to get on/off the NJ turnike.

Well, if you're detouring to Greensboro, you should come a little further west to a small town (Lewisville) near Winston-Salem (on Hwy 421N off of I-40W). The Enchanted Cottage is my all-time favorite: Art Rubber Stamps, Scrapbooking Supplies, Albums and Paper | Lewisville, NC

They stock the most current products; if you're looking for Memory Box dies, they have them all! The sales staff is superb.

Haven't been to Betty's in Greensboro, but have heard lots of wonderful things about the store and the owners.

Hi--My suggestion would be The Ink Pad in New York City. I've been there a few times and always find many things I want! Home

As mentioned above Scrapper's Cove is in Milltown, NJ. It's on 75 North Main Street and their phone number is 732 745 1000. This may be a bit of a detour for you, but they have a huge stock of paper, stamps, ink, dies etc. Their web site is scrapperscove.com

One Little Spark in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. One Little Spark - The Shop This may be a detour for you, but they are very helpful in this store. And Tuckerton Seaport is a fun place to visit.

Scrapbook Memories in Beachwood, NJ. Mostly scrapbooking. Very nice owner.

Angela's Happy Stamper in Reston, Virginia. Very friendly staff there.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the recommendations, everyone.
I used the llink in StamperDea's post to pull up a list of stores in each of the states I'd be driving through. Unfortunately, looking them up on line, a lot of them have closed their door, gone to online only, or hosting retreats/crops only.
But there should be enough to make for a fun trip, and your recommendations are appreciated. Sometimes it is hard to tell if how big a store is from their website.
There seem to be a lot of stores in NC, so rather than several days down and just a quick visit there, it will probably end up as a quicker trip down, and then using my brother's place as a landing pad, a couple days hitting all the stores around there.
Either way, as long as I get my retail fix, I'm happy!
