Really, really dumb question
Okay, I am brand spankin' new, so don't laugh at me ladies! I just started my stamping last night. How in the world do you get the ink off your skin without scrubbing it raw?
I'm glad I was alone (husband was out of town last night), I was a mess, as was everything around me! Definitely need a little organization going on here. Any suggestions would help!!!

Sounds like a good reason for a relaxing soak in a bubble bath to me!

Taking a shower and washing my hair is about the only thing that's worked for me. I don't know if it's the shampoo or the scrubbing that goes on, but it works.
Rubbing alcohol should work, too.

Welcome to SCS!! And welcome to the world of rubber stamping! Sounds like you jumped right on in, hands first! Always glad to 'meet' another one of us!
(Oooops!) Most Classic inks come seem to come off for me with hand washing, except for the waterproof Basic Black and Brown. Those require a little more time & patience.

Hmm...I always heard that if you don't walk around with ink on your fingers you're not really a stamper! LOL!
All the ink (except for the Basic Black and Basic Brown) are water based and should come off with little effort. The brown and black, however, sometimes need to just wear off!
I HAVE found that the Basic Black is VERY VERY difficult to get off of acrylic nails, though. Another enemy to acrylic nails...DIMENSIONALS!!! Don't ask...

I do alot of sponging and my finger tips get really inky. I just use a little bleach to get it off my fingers.

The reason for my tag line (yours with inky fingers) came about for just this reason - I ALWAYS have ink on my fingers!! LOL! I just tell everyone that it is a sign of a happy stamper!

I don't know if it works but I read in Jan Tink's The Tearing Edge that a product called 'Kiss Off' works. I think you can purchase this in the laundry detergent aisle.
To find Jan's humorous articles click 'search' and enter in the tearing edge. They are a riot.

I know you all will think this is weird, but, you can get ink off your skin with milk , yes that is right milk. As a little girl my grandma used to use this and I used it on my little kids and it really works.
