RAK for my Mom
Ok, I feel weird asking, as I am new (Sept 2004) and have never sent a RAK out (just requested to be added to the user group today), but I have a request for a RAK for my mom.
A little background...she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma in February of 2002, had stem cell replacement in May of 2003 (did not work) and now it has spread to her spinal column and brain. She has a Omaya resivour in her head so that the doctors can inject the chemo directly into her spinal column. We were told in September that she has about a year to 18 months to live. She had pneumonia in late Sept/Oct and was hospitalized for 2 weeks. The week before Christmas on the day she went to the doctors for blood work, she woke up with Bells Palsy on the left side of her face, in addition, they tested her spinal fluid and it came back positive for the cancer. She is now undergoing radiation (again) to her head (20 treatments). I think this is just about it for her. She is 62 and before this, lived a very healthly life.
If you could spare some time and send her a card I would really appreciate it. I don't know what else to do for her and it's breaking my heart that I can't make it better.
Thank you in advance.....

Whoa, I haven't had a cry like that in a long time. Your Mom has a card on its way from Carstairs, Alberta. My thoughts are with you and your family at this terrible time. It just isn't fair

I will send a card as well.
I am so sorry you, your Mom and your family have to go through this. I can imagine very well what rollercoaster ride of emotions you must be going through. I had an aunt die of brain tumor six years ago and my Dad of Leukemia five years ago. It's so horrible to be not being able to help and see your loved ones die.
You and your Mom are in my prayers as well. Big cyber hug!

My mom wanted to have me thank everyone for sending her cards. She is very touched by the outpouring of kindness from you SCSers! She showed me all the cards she has received and they are all beautiful! Her comment to me was "I can't believe that people I don't know sent me these. There sure are some nice people in this world". She also is amazed at how different each card is.
I'm putting them into a 6x6 album for her so she can look at them whenever she wants.
Thanks again! You are a wonderful group of stampers!
