Default Question:

Does anyone have the saying that goes on the inside of a card that is pulled off so the recipient can reuse your card you gave to them? Thanks so much!

I’m having some Post-Its made (Etsy seller) with a sentiment that’s similar to the Simon one though without lovey dovey stuff.  A bit more generic, starting with the word “Recycle.”

Or you can write a note to someone on a Post-It or use a nicer paper with a restickable glue stick, and add at the bottom in your own words that the note can be removed so the card can be mailed to someone else.

Default Recycling cards

I use high quality printer paper with the saying in a box at the bottom right: my frugal partner suggested this page should be an inset, so it can be removed and the card sent to someone else. A few people have told me they have done this, with cards that were not personalized on the front. Not many people keep A2 size envelopes, so maybe I should make generic cards to fit into regular sized envelopes.

The problem is most people don't have any envelopes anymore! I have the standard 9 inch ones in case a bill envie gets messed up. (which claim to be Security and I can see throw them &nbsp

I might suggest sending it in a slightly bigger envelope with an A2 envelope included to use.

Sigh. People really dont keep a lot of stationary goods anymore as they do a lot online. I do but not as much as before and I am a weirdo. lol

I purchased a pair of the post-its from Simon Says Stamp (linked above) a couple of months ago on sale and adore them.  I'd never even thought of that concept, though I have used plain post-its in the past to leave a note inside a "gift-able" card for my recipient.

The pre-printed post-its are cute and fun to use!  I find I'm using them quite a bit, though for the price when I run out I'll come up with a more economical method... such as what I've seen lots of cardmakers do by pre-printing a little saying (that they can make multiple copies off of one sheet of letter-size paper) to include with cards I want to be "gift-able."

Great topic, and I look forward to other ideas that folks share!

I have also done this and I fold an A2 envelope and put it into the card so they can send it on.

I had a pad of the pre-printed post-its and really liked the idea, but not the cost, so I used my word processing program to print my own, saying something like "enjoy the card and feel free to pass it on."  There's several different ways to do this, including setting it up manually or using the label feature on your program.   I print mine on regular copy paper.

I've also thought about the issue of the recipient having envelopes, so I like the idea of tucking a blank folded envelope inside or using a larger envelope for both.

I had post-it notes printed by 123Print and online print shop.

Don't know why this spaces it out so much.  Here is what I have printed off to put inside my cards:

I didn’t sign this card before

I sent it on to you.

It definitely holds my warmest thoughts,

so loving and so true.

So if you should find you need a card

to brighten someone’s day,

then just take this card I made,

sign it, and send it on its way.

You all might check out my thread "Need a Poem?" and bookmark it!

Also, I purchase my envelopes at Walmart and at thrift stores and then I make my cards to fit those particular sized envelopes. I tried making my own, but making envelopes on top of cards -- too much trouble.

I don't remember where I found it but this is what I use:

This card was made with love and care for you to keep or pass on and share.

I love your example, last2no - quick and simple, and fully gets the point across.  Thanks for sharing!
