Default Question re: Top note Die and quilt pieces

Tryng the top note die to make a 'quilt' type card.
1. I'm having trouble keeping the corners of the squares stuck down. they keep popping up. What adhesive do you use?
2. What paper do you stick the squares on to before using the the die?
I'm wondering if the card will be to heavy for regular postage come Christmas time. (Canada)
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Aloha, I have made many top note quilt cards.
I have several samples in my gallery:

To answer your questions:
I adhere all the squares to Whisper White card stock with a glue stick. After gluing all the pieces on, turn the whole thing over and rub the back of the Whisper White piece to stick the front pieces down really good. I usually add some ribbon or buttons which do require more postage.
Good Luck with your project.

Some versions dry emboss the die shape, which I think helps make sure that all the pieces are thoroughly stuck down.

I run the card stock through a Xyron then attach the little squares.

I haven't tried this technique yet, but I would think if you're using an ATG and just run strips on the base card that should hold everything down.

I use computer paper to attach my quilt squares to before die cutting or embossing. Helps cut down on the bulk.

I use mono adhesive. I did a quilt card for Christmas a fw years ago and it was regular postage in the US.
