Kaitysmom: Just like InkyFairy, I love OCD too!! Thank you so much for all the numbers - it's a big help to know how much candy to buy!
I got my order yesterday from G.T. and will be looking forward to making lots of fun things with them.

Wow! I just received my order from GT Bags. I ordered on Sunday, and they arrived today. Did anyone else get free samples? I got 2 baggies filled with samples of their other bags. Very nice! I'll definitely be ordering from them again!

This is just SO cute. I printed a copy of the picture and I'm going to tuck it away to make one for DH come Feb. You really blessed me.

Aww, shucks! Thanks.
I was able to find the cupid stamp in Michael's last year and made several arrows for my family, as well as my Bunco group. Everyone loved them!

Just a little hint ladies. After Christmas (when they are really cheap) I buy up any bag of Christmas M&M's I can get my hands on. I spend one evening, dividing the red's from the greens. Then I Ziploc bag them. I then have a ton of red's for Valentine's Day (february) and bunch of green's for St Patty's Day (march)

Awesome suggestion, thanks!! I'll have to peruse the candy aisle next time I'm there!

Hope that makes sense?

I'll have to try that! I'm afraid if I just use my typical tape-runner that the tags will pop off...

Fantastic tip!! I was also thinking of making some with those little pastel after-dinner mints maybe...
So. Much. Fun!!!

I bought some too. Going to try out Sprees and sweettarts. Has anyone else tried out these candies and know if they fit in the 1x8 bags?

Wow! That was really fast shipping. I ordered 500 bags on Thursday at 5:41pm eastern time and they just arrived! All the way from CA(I'm in Pittsburgh)! Less than 48 hours! I really like the sample bags they included. Especially the bubble zip bag. I may have to order some of those in the future. Now I just have to get some m&m's to try out my new bags!

As I recall, someone said those bags are 2" wide rather than 1" wide and that they work for oreo's and mint patties but not so well for m&m's, especially if you want the stacked look. I may be wrong about this, but I believe it was mentioned somewhere in the previous 2 pages. Someone please correct me if I misunderstood the sizing of the Michael's bags.

I haven't found the 1"x8" bags at Michaels. They do have the pretzel rod bags, but those are twice as wide. They hold peppermint patties, but not the M&M's stacked like in the examples I have seen. The 1"x8" bags work perfectly! Glad I ordered lots of them. I can see making these for all sorts of occasions!!

I did this but with the hershey kisses!!! Last sear - CVS had them marked down to 39 cents a bag = they had TONS of them for that price guess they over ordered!!! When Valentine's and St Pat's day came around I was all set - was able to get the projects done in no time without having to race about getting them and at a great price!!!

Just checked my Michaels bags & they are 2 inch(pretzel rod bags). I used them last year to put my caramel pretzel rods in for gift baskets-they worked great for that.
This is such a cute idea! I'll definitely be ordering some of these bags to make some of these cute little treats.

Wow, my order from GT Bags arrived today, 48 hours after I put the order in! No extra bags in my box, but that's probably because I ordered bags to fit my finished cards and the box was FULL with no room for freebies.
When I ordered my 1X8 bags I asked the man taking the order if they had been seeing an up-tick in orders, specifically for this size of bag. He laughed and said "As a matter of fact, yes!" I told what the bags were being used for and how excited a group of stampers were to find a source for the bags. Also let him know that GT Bags was getting rave reviews for quick delivery time and he seemed quite pleased with the positive feedback!

LOL ... believe me, if they look good enough, the fact that you touched them with your hands probably won't even enter anyone's mind. I make chocolate covered pretzel rods (mini rods) for just about any occasion and they are always a hit! I usually put three in a package ... one rolled in color/holiday appropriate sprinkles, one rolled in chopped walnuts, and one rolled in mini chocolate chips. Tie them with pretty ribbon and attach a cute tag and you're all set.

I put these together for my daughter to pass out to classmates at school on her birthday coming up in September. I finished them at a crop and probably made a few more sales for our beloved GT Bag Company!! LOL (Hopefully the attachment shows up for you.)

Thanks! My OCD shines through in the pic, too... my mother pokes fun at me all the time about my desire for things to be in order. Too bad I can't seem to keep the house as orderly as m&ms in a bag!

Thanks for the compliments! And thanks for all the inspiration to make them!! I've been brainstorming with my local stamping/scrapping buddies about other events to make these for. I'm sure I'll be sick of them at some point, but so far so good! LOL

A little bummed and confused....I just called GT Bag Co to place an order and the guy told me that there is a minimum order of $35 and a charge if you don't place an order of $100. I know I read somewhere through here that that wasn't the case...no minimum order or charge for an order under $100. Did these changes just take place?

That seems strange....I've ordered from there many times and never had that problem...but I always order online? Could it be different if you call them?

I just checked their website and went through the whole process except for paying - there was no mention of a minimum or a fee...

OK....online must be different from phoning in your order. If you look at the home page, it does however, say minimum order $35. I just placed my order online....no minimum needed and no fee for small order. But, watch how you order. I was going to order the 1000 bags and share with a co-worker. The s&h on 1000 bags at 29.00 was 16.50, total 46.49. I plugged in 10-100 bags at $40.00 and the s&h was still 4.95. I thought that was very strange!!! Anyway, placed my order and very excited to work on these this weekend!!!
Thanks to everyone on all the info!
