So I'm still new, and feeling my way around, and I thought I'd clarify this so as not to mess it up. I copied a card idea from Pinterest. If I wanted to post it, should I do that in my gallery, and if so, specifically what information should I include? I'm trying to get a handle on CASE. I did a search, but no luck.
It's perfectly fine to upload to your gallery; include details about stamps and paper and so on, and as far as the CASEing goes, it's good etiquette to say that you cased it from SuzieStamper, or whoever ;-). You could provide a link to her origina if you like, but personally I think you've done enough in giving her credit by name. I don't much CASE, but if I'm inspired by another card I think I'd only give a direct link if it was to another card in the gallery here rather than on Pinterest or elsewhere.
I CASE cards a lot. When I upload them to the gallery here, I list what I used on my card, then in the description I say from whom I cased it. I will even describe who or what inspired me, even when not a CASEd card. I rarely put a link in my description.
I know if someone CASED one of my cards, I would want them to provide a direct link to my card either in the gallery here or at my blog. It just seems considerate, and if I were viewing a CASE I would be interested in the link.
I have my Pinterest board linked in my signature line and if you lick on it and any particular card, you will usually find that I have mentioned where my inspiration came from. If I case it I always give credit if I know who created it. If I don’t know, I say ‘inspired by Pinterest’ or wherever. It’s just courtesy
