So I think I want to switch all my clear and cling mounted stamps over to DVD cases from CD cases.
Does anyone know if you can get extra clear index label from PTI without having to re-buy the set? I tried to take one off the CD case and that did not go well. ;) Those suckers stick!!
Yes you can. They are $1 each. Just go to the stamp listing on PTI and look over to the side and you'll see click here to purchase extra index label. I just got one in my last order.

I would love to switch my PTI stamps over to DVD cases!
As for the fitting of the stamps, I arrange them how I want, not how they come on the index label. I put the stamps in the CD case a certain way and then I cut out each image from the label sticker and stick it on when I like how they fit. A bit OCD but it works well for me. ;)
Well, thanks everyone for your words of encouragement! I think I will start with one set and see if it works well. My concern is with the bigger sets that take 2 sides of the CD case, but I think I can still get them on both sides of the DVD case and have it still close. My plan was to put the label on the outside of the DVD case to show the images like SU is doing.
I got tired of having to do all of that work in mounting them on the cd case and then they eventually fall off and get lost. I just implemented a new strategy after researching all the options people use out there to store these stamps. I have too many.... so problem is space. I take the label index and cut it off and attach it to the top right corner of a piece of white PTI cardstock. Then I mount the clear label that comes with it on that same page.
On the back side I use glue dots to mount the acetate piece with the stamps attached and I mount those towards the bottom of the page, side by side. Then if there is a die that I purchased that matches that set, I cut the part that keeps it in the envelope off, and glue dot it to the top part of the page. I may end up changing this to a piece of magnetic strip, then the die will adhere magnetically. To store it I put the page in a plastic page protector and you can now store these in a binder in a lot less space.
I don't know about you, these stamps are addictive and this is an easy way to see all of your stamps. I am going to have to order some more index labels so I can remount all the ones in a cd case into a binder. good luck!

Wow! This sounds like a great way to store them! Do you have any pictures?

Thank you!!!!!! I am going to do this too!! I love PTI stamps but don't like those CD cases at all. I just hadn't figured out how to remedy it yet. I was going to do DVD cases but wasn't thrilled with that either. This is the perfect answer for me. Thanks again!
Since the discussion is somewhat on how to store PTI stamps, I thought I would throw out how I'm doing it. For me, space is a huge issue, so moving to DVD cases would not solved that problem for me. I'm using the Sunday International storage panels (found at many online stores) and keep those in the Univenture binders (bought direct from that company). I can use this system to store both my clear and cling type stamps. I love, for instance, that I can have one binder dedicated to PTI backgrounds and borders. I pull it out and decide what I want to use. The binders are completely sealed, so if any stamps would happen to fall off, they would still be inside the binder.
The reason this may not be for everyone is because when you put the clear stamps on opaque white boards, you can not hold them up to the light and view from the back side. I have index so I still know what stamps are part of each set. I don't even bother with the index labels that come with the sets anymore. I copy the picture from the PTI website and use that as my index image.
Finally, I another benefit that I want to mention is that these boards don't react with the stamps. Occasionally, I have had some clear stamps react with the acetate sheets that come mounted on. The reaction is where part of the acetate sticks to the stamp. You know this has happened when you see a cloudy area on the back side of your stamp and it is no longer sticky. I can't stand it so I knew I didn't want to use acetate as my storage panel.
I currently store all my PTI sets (and I have a ton) in the SU DVD cases and am happy with it. I much prefer them over the CD cases. They fit nicely and I've even stored some of the smaller sets, 2 in 1 DVD case. I put the label with images in the front and/or back of the DVD case and store them just like the SU sets.

I do like this method too, so Thanks for sharing the description and the pictures!! Another great option for saving space. I also have the Univenture binders with storage panels for other companies and while I like those as well, I can no longer get them locally so I have a few different storage methods. HTH!

Thanks Dotty! I think I am going to use this method. I don't do well with binders for some reason. I have a cabinet I store all my stamps in and small cases work better for me. Next month...big order for me!!
