I just checked out the DD gallery - fabulous as always. So many wonderful ideas!! I'm just sending out a little wish that we could have the resources page updated with new techniques. There are things I would like to try, but I need the detailed instructions. Anyone else out there hoping for the same? Thanks again girls for all your creativeness and inspiration!

This site is terrific, let me say that first. The one thing I would improve is adding a new tutorial once a month though. We have the absolute diva of tutorials on board here and we are not using her to her full potential. I appreciate Beate's tutorials sooooooooo much and nobody does it better. Let's use her before she jumps ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
I agree Darth Deb. At least once a month on the resource page for everyone - and how about once a month on the DD gallery page for subscribers. Each of the DD could take turns with a tutorial of their fav tech or something similar.
On knees Daven... begging... begging... please... (now whining like my 3 yr old) PLEASE... Now like a hormonal 30+ ...

PLEASE!!!!! Does anyone subscribe to the Technique Junkie Newsletter??
Susan
There **are** many TJ subscribers here that willingly share what they have learned from Pat's terrific newsletters. Beate's one of them! There are many MORE people that like the *free* tutorials that Beate has done for the site, and would appreciate more of the same.
Just as not everyone can (or wants to) support this site financially, not everyone wants to pay the subscription for TJ.
Actually, my husband doesn't really care for it.
No, I probably wouldn't have married him if he'd told me that before we married! ;) Just kiddin' ... my guy is a keeper for sure!!
Yes. Tutorials. More of 'em. Purty Puhleaze, Daven? I'll send you Canadian Chocolate..... ;)

We have talked about putting the tutorials on the special gallery and have decided against it. We started it out as a free service and want to keep it that way. The DD gallery is just a little thank you for the people donating money to keep this site running. It was not meant to be the sole reason for donating. This site is a wonderful, informative and friendly board well worth donating $20 or more to keep it up and running.
I am a Technique Junkie and I am a subscriber to that newsletter. I am also a subscriber to several rubber stamping magazines. I learn new techniques from anywhere I can. Noone owns techniques and as long as I write the tutorials in my own words....it is perfectly legal all the way round. If I would copy word for word something out of a magazine or one of Pat's newsletters....that would be a different story. I have one or two tutorial waiting to be released that have not yet been covered by the TJN. That doesn't mean that Pat can't post instructions for them later on in her newsletter.
Stamping is about sharing.....or at least I thought so. Let's just all be nice!
On the other hand..... a lot of people ask for directions on techniques or how to's all the time to members. I know we all love to help, but it does take a lot of stress off of certian individuals who already spend huge amounts of time on this site, when there are tutorials. Beate's are just exceptional!
I'm not a subscriber to the TJ Newsletter, although I'm sure it is awesome and I always love seeing the stuff that people come up with who do subscribe. IMHO, it seems like some of those are for advance stampers.... where as Beate's tutorials are very easy to follow techniques even a beginner stamper can follow.
I do like the idea of maybe having Beate or a guest dirty girl to give directions on an "advance" technique? Hmm... more work on Daven's plate! Sorry, Big Daddy!
Yes!!!!! I would like to see a tutorial for the gel cards. I have not seen any of these cards and I am interested what they are and how they are made.
Thanks in advance.

It's amazing what you can find when you look in the right place. I never thought about looking under techniques for this tute.
Thanks anyway....... (this is what happens after 50 girls...lol)

okay, here's the deal. I love having the tutorials cause they're our own thing, and they're a draw to get people here to the site. beate does a great job. my problem at this point is that they're time-intensive to produce. I've had that darn star card tutorial half finished for a couple months now! it's terrible.
chalk it up to growing pains. with everything getting bigger, bigger, busier I seem to have less and less time for any one thing. heck, it wasn't that long ago that I approved every gallery upload and said a little 'yippee' to myself every time we had a new member join up! now sometimes I'll go days without even poking around the gallery much and I kind of just assume we're gonna get 80-100 new members every day. heck, I've even stopped capitalizing words, just to shave a few seconds here and there :^) it's crazy amazing!
so as things change I'm trying to change with them. part of that is spreading the work load. jenn and beate are fabulous couldn't do without them, I have tom now helping with server issues that are mostly beyond my abilities, I've had a local developer helping me out with some bigger chores, and then we've got gina over there doin' that RAK group thing of hers, new moderator in camsmom and more on the way, keri stampin' her heart out, debbiedee just took over the job of coordinating the DD group, and on and on. and much of this is only possible by the way because of the donations of all of you, so that's appreciated more than we could ever explain.
but anyway, tutorials are a high high priority despite our lack of new ones in a while. it's part of my plan to streamline the process of creating these so that publishing them is no more difficult than cutting and pasting text and pictures. I've got some other plans for tutorials too :^) but then I was up the entire night last night for my *real* job, so whaddaya gonna do? not enough time is an ongoing frustration...
